在澳大利亚,有几样绝对是我的心头好,那就是沙滩冲浪、Vegemite果酱(一种黑色、有粘性的咸酵母,涂在烤面包上ps :吃起来种牛肉的味道)和老式香肠卷。
Hailing from Good old Australia there are a few things that I absolutely love. The beach and surf, Vegemite, ( a black spread for bread that is made out of yeast) tastes like beef ) and the good old sausage roll.
考虑到两个小孩基本都是在上海长大,有时候我很想让他们表现澳大利亚的那一面所以每次回去我都会让他们光脚在草地或者沙滩上走。但自从知道他们不喜欢Vegemite果酱后,我没有立刻让他们去尝试香肠卷,一来是觉得强迫小孩喜欢任何事物都算不上是明智之举,二来我真的希望他们也能爱上。所以趁着女儿11岁生日这个契机,正式介绍这道澳大利亚美食给他们,相信会是一个很有意思的体验,哈哈……
Now considering my kids have grown up all their lives in Shanghai I sometimes get to thinking that they need a little push to show their Australian side. So whenever we go back to Australia I force the kids take their shoes off and walk around on the grass and the sand. I bought some vegemite for them but they hated it. But as far as the sausage roll is concerned I didn’t want to take chances, I really wanted them to love them. I didn’t feel parent pressure and forcing them to like them were good tactics, so instead, am using my daughter‘s 11th Birthday to introduce the good old Australian sausage in a fun way.
相比在超市买的我为大家做的这个香肠卷会更健康,同时又有地道的澳洲风味。
These sausage rolls are ones that I made myself, they are much more healthy than the ones you buy in shops in Australia, and way more tasty. Give them a go to experience a little of my Australia.
* 食 材 *
400克牛肉碎
300克鸡肉末
1个洋葱剁碎
1瓣蒜 压碎1个胡萝卜磨碎
1个西葫芦 磨碎
1杯面包屑(65克)
3大汤匙欧芹碎
1/2茶匙豆蔻粉
盐&胡椒粉
2个鸡蛋
3片冷冻的千层饼 半解冻状态
1汤匙芝麻(10克)
* 做法 *
1. 将烤箱预热到200°C, 取2个烤盘铺好烘焙纸。将切碎的洋葱、蒜、胡萝卜、南瓜、面包屑、欧芹、肉豆蔻和调味料混合备用,打入1个鸡蛋
2. 加入所有混合物,搅拌均匀,分成6等分
3. 把千层饼切成两半,放入所有东西卷至25cm左右长;用剩下的蛋液在外层中间刷上一层
4. 等包好卷起,切成6块放在烤盘上,收口处朝下,涂上蛋液,洒上芝麻;烘烤20分钟后,将温度调到180°C,再烤10分钟直到金黄,伴以番茄酱享用
Tip:吃不完可以速冻起来,等下次吃的之前,用160°C的温度加热40分钟左右即可★
