    4月8日清华代表队的三位同学依旧势如破竹，张子钊作为新闻官在最后做了精彩的陈述。最终，SAGA代表团代表清华大学获得了智库峰会大赛的第二名。

    It is a great honor to be a part of the team in this negotiation contest. It enables me to have a deeper understanding in practical negotiation skills as well as the norms for press conferences. In order to produce a memorandum that receives mutual recognition, sacrifices are necessary in certain cases. However, the core interest must be defended, and as the second round of the contest requires us to draft our ‘Secret’ by ourselves, the ability to identify and discern core interest is crucial as well. Apart from the practical negotiating techniques, I assume that concrete professional knowledge is just as much indispensable as it can often evoke innovative solutions. In conclusion, it is a valuable experience for me and I want to give my sincerest thanks to the amazing team and SAGA.

    Being a new member of SAGA.it is my great honor to take part in such a contest. From the contest, I learnt a lot. Not only the strategy of diplomacy did I receive, but also I got to know the knowldge of foreign affairs protocol norms and how to be a press officer.

Firstly, I’d like to focus on the negotiation part. As far as I’m concerned, you should form a general understanding and find out the most important secrets. You need to think about a list of benefits which you can offer to other countries in exchange for the benefits you want. It is also important for you to find allies but at the same time, you cannot believe them all the time. When the negotiation comes to a deadlock, you can jump over the disturbing issue or offer new ways to solve the divergence. And you can get a bilateral agreement when all countries involved cannot fully agree on the issue.

Secondly, as to the press conference, the most important thing is to find the right attitude. Whether your voice be calm or strong should depends on your role and the relationship with other countries. Speak a little bit slower then you can get the time to think and react. Pay attention to the words you use and notice their implication. Be calm and speak fluently. It’s wonderful if you can use some diplomatic words but you’d better not refer to your script so often. Only in this way can your speech be influential and mighty.

There still exist a lot for me to think and learn. Hope I can take part in more contest and perform better.

    作为一个理科生，这次的观赛是我第一次近距离接触到这种谈判比赛，发现了很多有意思的事情，也学习到一些新的东西。比如说队员们在自己领到需要扮演的国家的谈判角色后会很快进入到这个角色中去，以这个国家的外交官身份去思考，去参与到谈判中，并努力为这个国家争取利益，主动维护她的尊严。此外我还发现作为外交人员不仅要有一定的谈判技巧，也要了解现今各个国家的基本状况（包括过去的历史，已有的成果和发展态势）还要知道每个国家在各个地区（或各个领域）的核心利益，这样才能够知己知彼，获得更多的外交利益，此外外交人员的衣着举止也是要符合外交利益……

总之收获很大，以后有机会多多参加吧～

    首次观摩此次群英荟萃的外交谈判大赛，我对在复杂利益纠纷中据理力争的参赛选手们拜服，就自己而言，我在这种形式的学术交流中深刻感知到中国积极参与国际事务、为全球治理提出新方案的必要性，并且实实在在吸收到了国际关系相关的学术信息与外交技巧经验。赛后通过信息查找得知，如果三方谈判事件代入现实，问题将更加复杂，油田争端涉及国远不止三个，因此，国家间关系的协调与发展任重道远。
