一、什么是山水画？



山水画是以山水为表现内容与核心的绘画，是中国画中最大的门类，是中国绘画艺术成就的集中体现。



然而山水画又决不仅仅是风景画，因为它与中国的政治、哲学、文学、历史密不可分。中国人不仅用山水来观照自然，还用它来阐释世界、承载理想。

二、山水画是如何产生的？



弄明白这个问题就可以了解为什么山水画有如此丰富的内涵。



魏晋时期，自然主义审美的出现以及山水诗的繁盛，使人们看待山川景物的眼光发生了变化，追求心灵的自然与自由，追求精神的解放与超脱，使得山水之乐与中国士人的物质生活与精神世界融为一体，再难分离。这也是后来为什么山水画、尤其是文人士大夫的审美为标准的山水画成为中国画的主流的根本原因。

三、山水画的历史是怎么样的？



魏晋时期山水画萌芽，至唐代初成，到北宋臻于大成，成为一个至今无法逾越的巅峰时代。其后元代高蹈，明清流派纷呈，山水画的历史绚烂精彩，不仅是一部美术史，也映照出各个时代无比丰富的世貌风情。
