✖ I am painful.
✔ I am in pain.
“我感到高兴”是 I am happy,“我感到累了”是 I'm tired,但“我感到很痛”却不是 I am painful。
“我很痛”的习惯说法是I'm in pain. 就是Are you in pain?
✖ My English is poor.
✔ I am not 100% fluent, but at least I am improving.
I am still having a few problems, but I am getting better.
✖ Whisky for this lady, and put it on my bill.
✔ Whisky for this lady, and put it on my tab.
Could we have the bill, please? 或 pay the bill(埋单),但“记在某某的账上”却不用 bill,而要用 put...on one's tab 表示。
✖ The price is very suitable for me.
✔ The price is right suitable(合适的、相配的)
The following programme is not suitable for children.
✖ I have not seen it until now.
✔ I have not seen it, so far.
The person meant to express "I have never seen it", but the incorrect use of "until now" means "I am seeing it now for the first time."
