通过对近几年的高考题研究发现，几乎每年全国各省的高考英语试卷中都涉及了平行与平衡关系的题目。主要考察主谓一致、前后逻辑关系的一直、时态的一致、搭配的一致等，都可以归结为平行或平衡。本文主要对这类问题关系的应用以案例和实践练习形式进行解析，以提高学生对这类题目的分析能力和解题技能。



一、 在单词拼写中的应用例1，One of my favorite saying is "understand all and ________(宽恕)all".

解析："understand all and ________(宽恕)all".在句子中作表语，且and前后连接的两个动词应在形式上保持平行一致，所以填forgive。

例2，Truth and _______   (诚实)is the best policy

解析：从此题分析，is之前的成分为句子的主语，Truth与应所填之词在词性上保持一致，truth为名词，故所填之词也应为名词，应填honesty。

三、在改错题中的应用

1，根据连接词前后的平行关系解题例4，It was very kind of them to meet at the airport and drove me to the Great Wall Hotel.

解析:应该为drive,因为"他们待我很友好"表现在两个动词不定式的动作上,所以前后应该平行一致.

例5，She said that it was best to wait until rescue arrived rather go into the forest and getting lost.

解析:应该改为不带to的动词不定式,因为前面rather than词组要求其后的不带to的动词不定式,而get则与go平行.
