Whenkings first ruled the Earth, when cave walls were unpainted, when the sunshined the entire day, there was a girl named Ella. One day, when Ella waswalking in the field, she saw Old Man Grumps was walking over to her andmumbling:

“I HATE Sun. Moon should come back sometimes.”he said.  Ella walked over.

“I heard that! You should never use the word“hate”.  Why do you think that?” saidElla.

“Fine. I REALLY DISLIKE Sun. Moon was mydaughter, you know. I miss seeing her small, beautiful face. I remember thissome kind of potion that will make the person drinking the potion happy. But Ijust need this one special ingredient. The recipe calls for some leaves frompeach tree, but the tree has to be from Mexico.”  he said. He really wanted Ella to help him.

“I knowa family with a Mexican tree in their front yard.” said Ella.

“WHO? WHERE? TELL ME!!!!!!!” Old Man Grumpsyelled.

“I think. I don’t even know if it is a peachtree, but maybe I can find the family!” said Ella.

So Ellagoes to look for the family. She looked for several days. She didn’t find theexact family, but she found an old lady nice enough to let Ella pick someleaves from the old lady’s Mexican peach tree. Ella went home the next day andslept. When she woke up, she went to find Old Man Grumps.

Shefound Old Man Grumps boiling something over a fire in a cave. There was acaldron with a purple liquid inside. She went over to Old Man Grumps. Hegrabbed all the leaves in her hand, except for 2, and put it into the pot. Hepushed the pot outside and drank one cup. In seconds, he looked like he wasnineteen! He grew bigger and bigger, and stronger and stronger, and younger andyounger. Then, Young Man Grumps leapt into space, and blew sun away.  Then, he gently cupped his hands around moonand put her in sun’s place. Sun was now small, but still there. She went aroundthe solar system in twelve hours and by that time she was big again, so shepushes Moon out of the way. Since Young Man Grumps was sleeping, Sun shinesbrightly for twelve hours then Old (Young) Man Grumps will notice and blow heraway again. During this time, the light and dark would clash together.

If you ever look up at the horizon and see arainbow sky, remember light and dark, sister and sister, collaborating.

很久以前，还是国王统治着整个地球，洞穴的墙壁上还没有壁画，太阳整天都照耀着大地，那时候有一个叫艾拉的女孩。有一天，艾拉走在野地里，她看到老汉格朗普向她走来，一边还喃喃自语：

“我恨太阳。是时候让月亮回来了。”艾拉走了过来。

“我听到你说的话了！你不应该用恨这个字。你为什么会这么想呢？”她问道。

“好吧。我实在是不喜欢太阳。月亮是我的女儿，我怀念她小巧而美丽的脸。我记得有一种药水，喝了这个药水会让人快乐。但我还缺一样特殊的东西。药水的配方要一些桃树的叶子，但必须是墨西哥的桃树。”他说。他想艾拉帮他找桃树叶子。

“我知道有一家人，他家前院有颗墨西哥的树。”她说。

“是谁？在哪里？快告诉我!!!!!!!”老汉格朗普喊道。

“我猜有这么棵树，我也不确定那是不是课桃树，但我能找到那家人！”她说。

于是，她就去找那家人了。她找了好几天，没有找到那家人，但她找到一个和蔼的老太太。老太太让艾拉从她的墨西哥桃树上摘了一些树叶。第二天艾拉回到了家，睡着了。当她醒过来时，她去找老汉格朗普。

老汉格朗普住在一个山洞里，他正在火堆上煮着什么东西。是一个锅，里面还有紫色的液体。她走到老汉格朗普身边，老汉格朗普把艾拉带来的墨西哥桃树叶子放进锅里，就剩下两片叶子没有用。然后他掀开锅，喝了一杯药水。老汉格朗普喝完药水一下子变得像十九岁一样年轻！他越长越大，越长越强壮，越长越年轻。然后，年轻的格朗普跳向外太空，一口气把太阳吹走。接着，他用双手轻轻捧着月亮，把它放到了原来太阳在的地方。现在太阳看上去小了很多，但太阳还在。太阳每隔十二小时会绕一太阳系一圈，等她绕回来又变大的时候，就会吧月亮推开。年轻的格朗普睡觉的时候呢，太阳会照耀大地十二个小时，然后格朗普醒过来发觉太阳又回来了，就会再一次把她吹远。在那个时候，光明与黑暗将一同存在，冲撞在一起。

如果你仰望远方地平线，看到如彩虹一般的天空，记住光明与黑暗，姐姐和妹妹，在一起。
