研究设备的新投资





主要的投资覆盖了全部三个学部,保证利物浦大学的研究团队始终配备最前沿的装备。

工程重建项目

斥资达£36M的工程重建项目将会支持生物工程,航行模式,激光选择性熔化,爆炸物投放等一系列相关工程领域的研究活动。同时还会包含一个震动负载装置以便更好的服务自动化行业。

The £36M Engineering Restructuring Project will support increased research activity in:

  • Bio engineering
  • Flight simulation
  • Selective laser melting
  • Explosive loading
It will also include a vibration loading facility that is even better placed to serve the automotive industry.

新医学研究设施

学校花费 £11M 整修的Waterhouse Buildings会将初级保健与精神治疗相结合并创建一个个人化医学研究中心,同时未来还将增加£4M 投资建设临床实验研究中心,以更加切实支持临床实验的设计,管理与分析。这个临床实验研究中心是英国少有荣获Full Clinical Research Collaboration登记的机构之一。

不仅如此,学校还将斥资£27M 建设生物医学中心 Apex。该中心旨在提供最前沿Level 2 与Level 3控制水平的实验室,以及一个生物医学服务部门,方向涵盖感染与全球健康,老龄化慢性病,转化医学,合成生物心理学,以及社会健康等。

另外一个£10M的新Bio-Innovation Hub生物创新中心也将落实建设,包括一系列供实验室,SME宿舍以及一个新的生物样本库以支持相关研究与发明。

New medical research facilities

An £11M refurbishment of the grade II listed Waterhouse Buildings will consolidate research into Primary Care and Psychiatry into one location and create a new research centre for Personalised Medicine. A further £4M investment will provide a Clinical Trials Research Centre - a Centre of Excellence in clinical trial design, management and analysis, and one of only a small number of units in the UK awarded Full Clinical Research Collaboration registration status.

Apex, a £27M bio medical research facility, will provide state of the art containment level 2 and 3 laboratories and a Biomedical Services Unit for the Institutes of Infection & Global Health, Ageing & Chronic Disease, Translational Medicine, Integrative Biology and Psychology, Health & Society.

A £10M new building is being created to house the Liverpool Bio-Innovation Hub, iincluding laboratories, offices, flexible accommodation for SMEs and new biobank facilities to support research and innovation.

建筑与视觉艺术中心将会帮助研究者深化理解相关知识,同时将视觉理论与实践运用到建筑,城市规划与都市文化当中来。这个创意中心将会把各个领域如电影、广告、文化机构、高新科技的相关学者与专家聚集在一起,提供合作交流的平台,以支援诸如泰特利物浦美术馆、利物浦国家博物馆、艺术和创新技术基金会、西北视野与媒体、英国影视发展机构与英国遗产等场馆与机构的未来发展。

Centre for Architecture and the Visual Arts

The Centre for Architecture and the Visual Arts provides an important force in generating knowledge and impact in visual theories and practices in architecture, cities and urban culture. This innovative facility brings together researchers and expert practitioners in creative technologies, film, advertising, cultural organisations and planning with collaborations encompassing partners such as:

Tate Liverpool、National Museums Liverpool、The Foundation for Art and Creative Technology、North West Vision and Media、The British Film Institute、English Heritage、Materials Innovation Factory、Exterior of the Materials Innovation Factory

材料创新工厂

这个业界前沿的合成生物学机构是利物浦大学与联合利华斥资 £68M 兴建的项目,意在加快研究进度,减少新产品研发时间,提供最新的化学材料研究设备以帮助研发能够节省能源与自然资源的新材料,改善健康水平或转化为多样化的生产过程。

Materials Innovation Factory

The state-of-the-art Institute of Integrative Biology is a £68M partnership between the University and Unilever which will accelerate research and reduce new product development times, providing equipment at the cutting-edge of materials chemistry research to facilitate the discovery of new materials which have the potential to save energy and natural resources, improve health or transform a variety of manufacturing processes.

Stephenson可再生能源研究机构

花费 £6M 兴建的Stephenson 可再生能源研究机构将会负责可再生能源的研究同时重点开发清洁可持续能源的相关技术。

Stephenson Research Institute for Renewable Energy

The £6M Stephenson Research Institute for Renewable Energy will undertake research into renewable energy sources to focus on developing clean and sustainable energy technologies.

管理学院扩建

利物浦大学将会花费£8M 进行管理学院的进一步扩建,意在为包含消费与体验营销、创业与小型企业管理,供应链优化等领域在内12个学术平台创造机会。

女性健康调研中心

学校将会为女性健康调研中心提供£3M 的投资。此项投资将会协助多项研究主题,内容涵盖子宫肌肉生理学(Centre for Better Births),症候研究(Cochrane Pregnancy and Childbirth Group),国际母婴健康(Sanyu Unit),早产与出生,子宫内膜异位,临产药理学等等方向。

The Centre for Women’s Health Research

A £3M investment in The Centre for Women’s Health Research will facilitate a broad range of translational research themes including:

  • Uterine muscle physiology (Centre for Better Births)
  • Research synthesis (Cochrane Pregnancy and Childbirth Group)
  • International Maternal and Child Health (Sanyu Unit)
  • Preterm labour and birth
  • Pathophysiology of endometriosis
  • Perinatal pharmacology.
