有人称圣经为「神圣图书馆」，这话一点不假。一般人都以为圣经是一本书，其实它是由六十六卷书组成。从人的角度来看，圣经是历史，是祂（耶稣基督）的故事。圣经是神的话，是神赐给人的唯一写下的启示。

Chapter 1 THE BIBLE 圣经

I. INTRODUCTION

Someone has called the Holy Bible "thedivine library," and this is a true statement. Although we think of the Bibleas one book, yet it is made up of sixty-six separate books. These books,beginning with Genesis and ending with Revelation, are divided into two mainsections. The first section is called the Old Testament and containsthirty-nine books. The second section is the New Testament, and it hastwenty-seven books. At the beginning of most Bibles there is an index whichlists the names of the books, and tells the page number on which each bookbegins.

II. WHO WROTE THE BIBLE?

From the human standpoint the Bible ishistory-His-story-and was written by not less than thirty-six authors over a period of aboutsixteen hundred years. But the important thing to remember is that these menwrote under the direct control of God. That makes this a God-inspired book. Godguided them in writing the very words. This is what we mean by inspiration. Thefollowing Scriptures clearly teach that the Bible is inspired by God.



“For the prophecy came not in old time bythe will of man, but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the HolyGhost.” 2 Peter 1:21. “A11 Scripture is given by inspiration of God and isprofitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction inrighteousness; that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished untoall good works.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17.



Thus the Bible is the Word of God. Somewould say that the Bible might contain the Word of God. This would imply thatparts of it are inspired and parts are not. Who would know what is and what isnot inspired? After many years of research and study, we are convinced thatthere is no human explanation for this book. This decision is not left toearthly opinions but rather as Psalm 119:89 says, “For ever, O Lord, thy wordis settled in Heaven.”

Another important point to remember is thatthe Bible is the only written revelation, which God has given to man. In theBible, God warns us three times against adding to the Bible or taking away fromit, the last time being Revelation 22:18-19.

II.圣经是谁写的？

从人的角度来看，圣经是历史。英文的历史（His-story），就是祂（耶稣基督）的故事，是由超过三十六位作者，经过一千六百年的时间写成的。但最重要的是，不要忘记这些人是直接受神的默示而写的。神引导他们写下每一个字，这就是我们所说的灵感。下面的经文清楚说到圣经都是受神的灵感而成的。



“因为预言从来没有出于人意的，乃是人被圣灵感动，说出神的话来。”彼得后书1:21。 “圣经都是神所默示的(或译：凡神所默示的圣经)于教训、督责、使人归正、教导人学义，都是有益的;叫属神的人得以完全，预备行各样的善事。”提摩太后书3:16-17。

因此圣经是神的话，有人也许会说圣经包含神的话，这可能暗指有些是神的灵感动的，有些则不是。但谁能知道哪些是而哪些不是？经过多年的研究和学习，我们确信圣经这本书绝不是出于人的意思。这样的结论也不是人的看法，而是根据诗篇119:89所说“耶和华啊，你的话安定在天，直到永远。”



另一个要特别要记住的重点是:圣经是神赐给人的唯一写下的启示。在圣经中，神三次警告我们，不准加添或删减圣经。最后一次警告是在启示录22:18-19
