一日一课，原版英文绘本视频第三课：The Tooth Fairy（小牙仙）

前言——

经过紧张的准备，我们的《一日一课，英文原版绘本视频课程》正式开播了啊，正如《带上孩子，跟着唐诗去旅行》节目坚持了185期一样，英文绘本课程我们列了400期计划，希望孩子们会喜欢这个纯正的北美英文课程！请家长先下载电子版的高清绘本，彩色打印出来，让孩子拿着绘本来看视频，一次可以下载十几期。

今天是第三课《小牙仙》，小牙仙是欧美等西方国家传说中的妖精。传说中，小孩子脱掉乳齿后，将乳齿放在枕头底，夜晚时牙仙就会取走放在枕头底的牙齿，换成一个金币，象征小孩将来要换上恒齿，成为一个大人。

Have you ever lost tooth? Really? Did you find it when it fell out? Did the Tooth Fairy come? Well, let’s put on the magic reading glasses and see Peppa Pig get a special visit from the Tooth Fairy.

你掉过牙齿吗？掉过呀？牙齿掉落时你发现它了？小牙仙来过吗？让我们戴上魔力阅读镜，来了解一下小牙仙来Peppa小猪家的一次特殊拜访。Once upon a time, there was a clever little pig named Peppa. She was very proud of her teeth.

从前，有一只聪明的小猪猪，名叫Peppa。她为她的牙齿颇感得意。Peppa and her brother , George, knew how to take care of their teeth. They brushed them every morning AND every evening! Brush!Brush!

Peppa和她弟弟George懂得怎样爱护牙齿。他们每天早上、晚上都要刷牙！刷呀刷！



Peppa and George loved playing dentist. Peppa would pretend to be the dentist and George would be her assistant. George’s toy dinosaur was the patient. “What lovely, clean teeth you have, Mr. Dinosaur.”Peppa smiled. “Grr!” said George.

Peppa和George爱玩扮演牙医的游戏。Peppa假扮成牙医，George扮成她的助手。George的玩具恐龙扮成病人。“恐龙先生，你的牙齿好漂亮好干净啊！”Peppa笑着说。“饵！”George说。

One day, after playing their dentist game, Peppa andGeorge were eating their dinner. Suddenly, something fell onto Peppa’s plate.

有一天，扮完了牙医游戏后，Peppa和George正在吃晚餐。突然，有东西掉落在Peppa的盘子里了。Clatter! Clatter! It made Peppa JUMP! “What’s that?”she asked. “Ho! Ho! It’s a tooth.” Daddy Pig laughed. “But where is it from?”asked Peppa.

嘚嘚！Peppa 跳起来了！“那是什么呀？”她问道。“呵呵，是一颗牙。”小猪爸爸笑了。“但是，牙齿从哪里来的呀？”Peppa问。“Why don’t you look in the mirror?” said Mummy Pig.Peppa looked. She had a big BIG gap in her teeth! “Oh, no!” Peppa cried. “Do weneed to go see Doctor Elephant?”

“你何不照照镜子呀？”小猪妈妈说。Peppa瞧了瞧。她的牙齿之间有一个大大的空隙！“啊，不要啊！”Peppa喊道。“我们需要去看大象医生吗？”“No,” said Mummy Pig. “It’s just a baby tooth. It’s meant to fall out.”

“不用去，”小猪妈妈说。“这只不过是一颗乳牙。它应该掉的。”



“A baby tooth? What’s that?” asked Peppa. “A baby tooth is a tooth that falls out when you are young.” explained Mummy Pig. “ A new one will grow in its place.”

“乳牙？乳牙是什么？”Peppa问道。“乳牙就是当你还小的时候就要掉落的一颗牙。”小猪妈妈解释说。“在乳牙的位置上会长出一颗新牙来的。”“What should I do with my baby tooth?” asked Peppa. “If you place it under your pillow, the Tooth Fairy will come. She will take your tooth and leave you a shiny new coin !” said Mummy Pig.

“这颗乳牙我该怎样处理呢？”Peppa问道。“如果你把它放在枕头下面的话，小牙仙就会来。她会拿走你的牙齿，同时给你留下一枚闪闪发光的新硬币！”小猪妈妈说。That evening, while Peppa watched television with her family, she kept thinking about the Tooth Fairy.

那天晚上，当Peppa和家人看电视的时候，她一直在想着小牙仙。“When I grow up, I want to be a tooth fairy!” said Peppa. Daddy Pig chuckled. “ What about you, George?” asked Daddy. George pointed at his dinosaur. “Dine-Saw!” He growled. Hee! Hee! Hee!

“当我长大了，我要成为一名小牙仙！”Peppa说。小猪爸爸笑了。“George你呢？”小猪爸爸问。George指着他的恐龙。“恐龙！”他说。嘿！嘿！嘿！“Come on, George,” shouted Peppa. “We don’t want to miss the Tooth Fairy!” They both ran up the stairs to get ready for bed.

“George，过来，”Peppa喊道。“我们不想错过小牙仙！”他们俩跑上楼准备睡觉。“What are you doing, Peppa?”asked Daddy Pig. Peppa was carefully brushing her baby tooth. “ I want it to be nice and clean for theTooth Fairy.” said Peppa.

“Peppa你在做什么？”小猪爸爸问道。Peppa正在认真刷她的乳牙。“我想让她在小牙仙来拿的时候干净漂亮。”Peppa tucked the tooth under her pillow. “ Are you sure the Tooth Fairy will be able to find it?” she asked. “ I promise,” said Mummy Pig. “Just you wait and see!”

Peppa把乳牙塞在枕头下面。“你确定小牙仙能找到它吗？”她问。“我敢保证，”小猪妈妈说。“你就等着瞧吧！”“ Good night, Peppa and George!”“Good night, Mummy! Good night, Daddy!”

“晚安，Peppa！晚安，George！”“晚安，妈妈！晚安，爸爸！”Snore!

打鼾声！“I’m going to wait up all night for the Tooth Fairy,”Peppa said. “George! Let’s not go to sleep.” George smiled and nodded. Peppa waited and waited.... Snore! Snore! She could hear something. Is that theTooth Fairy? Peppa wondered. “George,” she whispered, “did you hear that?Can you see the Tooth Fairy?” She climbed down to look at George. He was fast asleep. It was him making the noise!

“我要一通宵等着小牙仙，”Peppa说。“George！我们不要睡觉。”George微笑着点点头。Peppa等啊等啊...呼噜!呼噜! 她能听到有什么声音。是小牙仙来了？Peppa感到纳闷。“George，”她小声对他道，“你听到有声音吗？你能看到小牙仙吗？”她爬下床去看George。他已经睡着了。是他发出的声音！“I am much better at staying awake than George.” Peppa sighed. She settled back in her bed. After a while, her eyes started to close.She quickly opened them again. “I am going to stay awake and see the ToothFairy.” Peppa said to herself firmly. Snore! Snore! But soon she was asleep.

“我醒着不睡觉，比George强。”Peppa叹了一口气。她回到自己的床上。过了一会儿，她的眼睛有点睁不开了。她赶快睁开眼睛。“我不睡觉，要等着小牙仙来。”Peppa坚定地想。呼噜！呼噜！但是不久她就睡着了。Tinkle! Tinkle! What was that?

叮当！叮当！是什么声音？

It was the Tooth Fairy! “Hello, Peppa!” She whispered.“Would you like a coin in exchange for your tooth?” The Tooth Fairy gently took Peppa’s tooth out from under the pillow and put a shiny coin in its place. “What a lovely, clean tooth,” the fairy said. “Thank you very much!”

是小牙仙！“Peppa，你好！”她小声说道。“你愿意一枚硬币换你的乳牙吗？”小牙仙轻轻地从枕头下面取出牙齿，并把一枚闪光的硬币放在那里。“多么干净漂亮的牙齿，”小牙仙说。“非常感谢你！”



The next morning, Peppa found the shiny coin under her pillow. “Mummy, the Tooth Fairy did come after all!” she shouted, jumping up and down. “Oh, I wish I had seen the Tooth Fairy.” Peppa sighed. “Next time I’m definitely going to stay awake ALL night!”

第二天早上，Peppa在枕头下面发现了那枚闪光的硬币。“妈妈，小牙仙终究还是来了！”她喊道，一边来来回回地跳。“噢，我真希望我看到了小牙仙。”Peppa叹气道。下次我一定通宵不睡觉！点击下方，收听往期英文原版绘本故事：
