【睡前听故事】henry 奇幻的想象力

人生最重要的财富...

Henry loved using his imagination...

Henry喜欢发挥自己的想象力，



especially during show and tell. He told the class a fish so big...

特别是在表演秀的时候。他会告诉同学们一条鱼会这么大....



it pulled his boat across the whole lake！

那条鱼会推动他的船穿越整个湖。



And he built a snowman as big as his house

[会告诉同学说他推了一个想他家这么大的雪人。



Henry even told the class all about his neighbor‘s pet, Joey.

Henry甚至还告诉同学们所有关于他邻居的宠物,Joey。



The day Henry told them an alien landed in his yard...

有一天，Henry告诉他们有一个外星人降落在他的院子里....



everyone started asking questions.

每个人都开始问Henry问题了。

Why did't you call 911? What color was the alien?

为什么不打911？外星人是什么颜色呢？

Aliens don't land in back-yards.They land at Disney world.

外星人不会降落在后院的，他们是降落在迪士尼世界。

My mom says there are no aliens.

我妈妈说世界上是不存在外星人的。

What planet was he from? how can an alien breathe on earth?

外星人是从哪个星球来的呢？在地球上，外星人是怎样呼吸的呢？



Tony said," You're a big fibber!"

突然，Tony说，“你是骗子，说谎！“

Henry didn't mean to fib...it's just that his imagination got mixed up with the truth.

Henry并是不要做说谎的....只不过是用他的想象夸大事实而已



After show and tell, Mr.McCarthy said,"Henry ,you have an amazing imagination.

在表演秀之后，McCarthy先生说，Henry，你的想象力真丰富。

Instead of using it for show and tell.why don't you use it to write stories?"

为什么你不写下来当故事而不是用来在表演秀说呢?



"But..What if I can't spell all the words?"

但是，如果我遇到不会拼写的单词怎么办呢?

"That's okay-just do your best!"said Mr. McCarthy.

"有问题的，尽力就可以了，McCarthy先生说。

"You can even draw pictures to go with them."

你可以用图片来说明他，不一定要写文字的。”

So Henry got busy at home..

于是，Hnery每天回到家都会很忙...



and at school.

在学校也是。

Now that Henry was using all his imagination to write stories...

现在Henry将他的想象力发挥到写故事那里...

We went to the store and bought cheese...

我们要去商店，并且买了一件芝士....



Here is the cheese.We went home and...

买好了芝士，我们就回家....

we made a cheese sandwich .It was good.

回到家，我们用芝士做了一件芝士三文治，非常好吃。

show and tell was really boring.

现在表演秀真的很冗长无趣。

So boring Sydney fell asleep...

如此无聊，Sydney简直就睡着了....



and Tony said,"I liked it better when you fibbed during show and tell."

于是Tony 说，“我还是喜欢你以前在表演秀里说的谎话故事。“

But Henry knew he shouldn't fib...

但是Henry知道不应该做骗子，说谎话...



So he got an idea.

于是他想到一个主意。



At the next show and tell, Henry read his stories aloud.No one called him a fibber.

在下一次的表演秀里，Henry大声朗读他写的故事，没有再叫他是骗子，说谎话。

No one was bored.Everyone agreed:When Henry used his imagination to write stories...

没有人觉得故事冗长无趣，每个人都同意，Henry是发挥他的想象里写故事...



show and tell was amazing!

表演秀变得很有趣，新奇。
