五月廿八日，考托正当时

据说周末考试一天简单、另一天更简单？...



又到了一年四五十次的考托福的时候啦~

撒花～～



什么？你说这是叶子不是花？没事，看在维尼熊这么可爱的份上不要在意细节。



从来托福就不是一个难考的考试，只要大家有在托福考试上花时间，分数一定就不会差，ETS自称他们的平均意义上的误差是5.6，也就是说，你的英语水平如果值得100分，那么你最多可以拿到105，最少95，大致如此。鉴于目前我们只能相信托福是一个可以考察大家英文能力的、分数与单次考试难度无关的标准化测试，我们就得相信，大家的分数和自己的英文能力能充分对应。

也就是说

只要你英语好，你的托福就好，你的托福如果不够好，那你提升英语就是咯。

就是这么简单~

好的咱们回来讲一下这个五月二十八日考的题目

口语Task1：should students be required to do at least 40 hours of community service every year?

嗯，看到这种“be required to do”的题目，诸君就该知道说什么了吧？

当！然！是！滚！你！丫！的！不！可！以！

因为这人何德何能可以要求所有学生都去干40小时的community service？

还记得课上说的理由么？

Freedom，Fairness，escalating consequences？

所以我们就可以义愤填膺的开骂了

Sample response: Of course not! I don't care if community service is actually good or not for students. It should be an individual choice, not a requirement. Because this could lead to a direct violation of students' individual freedom. I mean students should choose for themselves what to do and what not to do, as they should be responsible for their own future. If they want to choose a major, they can choose a major. If they want to drop out of college, they can drop out of college, and if they don't want to do community service, they can choose not to. Also this requirement could lead to ridiculous consequences. If students are now required to do 40 hours of community service, what about next year? Maybe the number will go to 50 hours, 60 hours? Who knows? So just don't do this.

然后今日的第二题是这样的

口语Task2：Should people older than 65 be required to retire?

你瞧，又来了……

当！然！还！是！滚！你！丫！的！不！可！以！

老狗没啥新把戏，托福也没啥新意……

还是一样的套路，跟第一题一毛一样～

Sample Response:  No they shouldn't. Because whether to retire or not should be a personal choice rather than a forced decision. People should have their own freedom to work, as this is one fundamental freedom, just like freedom of speech and freedom to vote. Plus, why 65? If 65 year olds are forced to retire, what about 64 year olds? What's the big difference between these two? Does it mean that maybe later if we have more employment issues, we would ask 64 year olds to retire? The government should focus on creating more jobs, rather than just transfer these jobs between different age groups. One more thing, I don't really think younger people replacing these 65 year olds could do as well as they do, since if these 65 year olds haven't been kicked out of their companies, it would probably mean that they are better than newcomers, right?
