北美洲最大的龙舟赛——第37届波士顿龙舟节，将於6/11-6/12在美丽的查尔斯河举行，已经登记参赛有六十七队，其中包括有新英格兰北大校友会、清华大学校友会、浙江大学校友会、天津和南开大学联合校友会、交通大学校友会、復旦大学校友会、东北大学学生会、中国科技大学校友会、麻州大学波士顿分校学生会、中华广教学校、波士顿华埠社区中心（BCNC）、华人医务中心、华人青年协会（CYPN）、大波士顿中华文化协会（GBCCA）、MIT中国学生会、波士顿华人专业协会（BPN）、哈佛大学中国学生会等华人组织的队伍。

第三十七届波士顿香港龙舟节

波士顿一年一度的香港龙舟赛将于6月11日至12日举行, 时间中午十二至下午五时。 2016年是波士顿龙舟节和龙舟赛的第三十七週年。大波士顿地区、纽约、罗德岛、新罕普夏州等各地前来参赛的有六十七个龙舟队，是波士顿龙舟节有史以来参赛船队最多的一年。届时，六十多队的龙舟健儿们将在锣鼓喧天声中，划着颜色鲜艳、船身轻盈的香港式龙舟，在 JFK大街和Western 大街之间的查理斯河中激烈角逐。龙舟赛激烈的竞争将在以下分组之间展开：金融组、医保组、大学组、高中组、俱乐部组及女子组，竞赛仍设有癌幸存者专赛。本年度龙舟赛及节庆由波士顿龙舟节组委会主办。

龙舟決赛十二日清晨开始，文化节目则午间开场。赞助商、主办方及特邀嘉宾将于十二时为龙舟点睛。按照中国传统习俗，龙在点睛之后腾飞升起。为点睛仪式增添声势的是精彩纷呈的中国歌舞表演，当然还有必不可少的传统手工製作以及衆多亚洲美食摊位摆卖，届时请光临欣赏。

如今端午节龙舟赛已经成为世界上的一项热门运动和节庆，而北美的第一箇龙舟节就于1979年始创于波士顿，迄今三十七年。这个庆祝活动向美国和世界人民介绍端午节龙舟赛，为推广中国的以及亚洲的文化，发挥了巨大的作用。在大家的参与和支持下，波士顿龙舟节定能永保青春。

2016 波士顿香港龙舟节交通指南：

Directions to Sunday's Dragon Boat Festival site

Take the Red Line to Harvard Square. In addition to the Red line you may take The #1 or Dudley/Harvard Station bus. Once you are in Harvard Square follow the walking instructions below to get to the site. If you drove and parked at a public lot, find the "Out of Town News" newsstand across the street from the "Harvard Coop" in the middle of Harvard Square. See the Maps near the bottom of the page.

Walking from Harvard Square and the MBTA station

Exit the Harvard MBTA station. You should be in front of "Out of Town News" newsstand. Across the street you'll see the "Harvard Coop"
Turn left onto John F Kennedy Street (JFK St.) You should pass a Finagle a Bagel shop and "The Garage" on your left.
After The Garage, turn left on Mt Auburn St.
Walk about 5 blocks. Turn right on DeWolfe St.
Walk straight about 3 blocks and you should see the Weeks Footbridge ahead of you (see maps below).

Teams will be camped across the river on the Boston side. For general information, please check in at the Information and T-shirt sales area at the Weeks Footbridge on the Cambridge side. You can't miss us!

By car, your best option is to park near Mount Auburn Street and De Wolfe Street. There is no designated parking, so you can park on the City of Cambridge streets or in parking lots. The festival is at the corner of De Wolfe Street and Memorial Drive. On Sunday, meters are not in effect in Cambridge or Boston.

Please note: On Sunday, Memorial Drive is closed to cars between Western Avenue and Elliot Bridge. There is no place to park to drop off tents or other equipment on the Boston side on Soldiers Field Road.
