从2016年开始，申请加拿大金融硕士的学生都多了一个新选择，麦吉尔大学新开设的金融硕士项目：Masters of Management in Finance。

MMF是一个12个月无职业经验金融硕士，针对的对象是本科阶段学习科学、工程、经济、人文艺术或者商科的，并且具备很好计量技能的学生。MMF为学生提供集合了先进财务概念、定量方法、实际商业惯例的综合课程，使得学生具备未来在金融领域从业的基本职业知识和职业技能。

MMF课程结构：

MMF以6周为单位可以划分为6个模块，每个模块安排学生完成1-2门课程，共计11门课（33学分）‘如果学生本科阶段学习的金融，相较于其他的学生将会多学习一门课（3学分）

FINE 690 Advanced Topics in Finance 1 3 Credits（Optional, for students with a prior background in Finance）

What is Desautels Capital Management Inc. (DCM)?

Desautels Capital Management is Canada’s first university-owned, student-run registered investment management firm. Established in 2009, Desautels Capital Management offers students in the Honors Investment Management (HIM) and Masters of Management in Finance (MMF) program meaningful and realistic experience in the industry. All students enrolled in these programs work for the company, managing different funds with $3.5 million in assets under management.

How is DCM different from other university-run funds?

Desautels Capital Management is a real investment company, licensed and regulated with its independent board of directors. It is 100% owned by McGill and manages the money of external accredited investors.

Do I get paid for working as an analyst at DCM?

No. there is no monetary compensation for working as an analyst. DCM is an integral part of the curriculum in which students gain hands-on experience at managing external investors’ money.

How many hours would I be working for the DCM?

15 - 20 hours per week
