名称解析

REA是指Restrictive Early Action（限制性提前行动），

SCEA指Single-choice Early Action（单选提前行动）。

这两种基本没有区别，是特殊的早申请形式，是有排他性的，即不允许你申请其他学校的REA，SCEA，

ED（Early Decision）或部分EA（Early Action）。它们与EA基本相同，唯一不同的是，SCEA只能申请一所大学。

优点

1、可提前知道是否被录取

2、可选择是否入学

缺点

1、必须在11月前递交申请

2、 只能申请一所大学

1、Princeton University采用Single-Choice Early Action，允许申请公立大学EA，不允许申请私立大学早申项目。

官网EA详解：

› You may not apply to an early program at any other private college or university, but you may apply early to any public institution, as long as the decision is nonbinding.

Please also note the following:

› You may apply to any international institution, as long as the decision is nonbinding.

› You may apply to any college with a nonbinding rolling admission process.

2、Harvard University 采用 Early Action，允许申请公立大学EA，ED，不允许申请私立大学早申项目。

官网EA详解：

Early Action is a non-binding early program, meaning that if you are admitted you are not obligated to enroll. If you apply to Harvard under our Early Action program, you may also apply at the same time to any public college/university or to foreign universities but you are restricted from applying to other private universities’ Early Action and Early Decision programs.

3、Yale University 采用 Single-Choice Early Action，允许申请公立大学EA，不允许申请私立大学早申项目。

4、Stanford University 采用Restrictive Early Action，允许申请公立大学EA，不允许申请私立大学早申项目（有一个例外，如果你在申请某所私立大学EA时，也申请了其奖学金，此时这两所大学可以同时申请）。

Restrictive Early Action Policy

› Applicants agree not to apply to any other private college/university under an Early Action, Restrictive Early Action, Early Decision or Early Notification program.

› Applicants may apply to other colleges and universities under their Regular Decision option.

Exceptions

› The student may apply to any college/university with early deadlines for scholarships or special academic programs as long as the decision is non-binding.

› The student may apply to any public college/university with a non-binding early application option.

› The student may apply to any college/university with a non-binding rolling admission process.

› The student may apply to any foreign college/university on any application schedule.

5、University of Notre Dame

采用Restrictive Early Action，可以申请任何学校EA项目

6、Georgetown University 采用 Early Action，可能不允许申请其他学校ED

（In keeping with this principle, students applying under the Early Action program may not apply to any binding Early Decision programs since they then would not be free to choose Georgetown if admitted.）

7、Boston College 采用Early Action，可能不允许申请其他学校ED 。

› A student applying Early Action to Boston College may apply to other Early Action programs.
› A student applying to a binding Early Decision II program may apply Early Action to Boston College.
› A student applying to a binding Early Decision program may not apply Early Action to Boston College.
