Healthy Diet

Be sure to eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables.

确保食用大量新鲜蔬果。

Eating foods low in saturated fats, trans fat, and cholesterol and high in fiber can help prevent high cholesterol. Limiting salt (sodium) in your diet also can lower your blood pressure.

食用饱和脂肪、反式脂肪以及胆固醇含量低的食物,同时进食高纤维食物可以有助预防高血脂。限制您饮食中的盐(钠)摄入能帮助降低血压。



Healthy Weight

正常体重


Being overweight or obese increases your risk for stroke. To determine whether your weight is in a healthy range, doctors often calculate your body mass index (BMI). Doctors sometimes also use waist and hip measurements to measure excess body fat.

超重或肥胖会增加中风的风险。检查您的体重是否处于健康范围,医生通常会计算您的身体质量指数(BMI)。有时医生也会通过测量腰围和臀围评估体脂肪过多的情况。



Physical Activity

Physical activity can help you maintain a healthy weight and lower your cholesterol and blood pressure levels. For adults, the Surgeon General recommends 2 hours and 30 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise, like brisk walking or bicycling, every week. Children and adolescents should get 1 hour of physical activity every day.

体育锻炼能有助维持正常体重以及降低胆固醇和血压水平。美国卫生局局长建议成年人每周应有2个半小时适度锻炼,如健步走或骑车。儿童以及青少年每天应有1小时的体育锻炼时间。



No Smoking

Cigarette smoking greatly increases your risk for stroke. If you don’t smoke, don’t start. If you do smoke, quitting will lower your risk for stroke. Your doctor can suggest ways to help you quit.

吸烟会增加中风的风险,如果您一直没有吸烟就不要尝试开始。如果您已吸烟,戒烟能降低您中风的风险。您的医生会给予一些戒烟的建议。



Limited Alcohol

限制饮酒


Avoid drinking too much alcohol, which can raise your blood pressure. Men should have no more than 2 drinks per day, and women only 1.

Preventing Stroke: Other Medical Conditions

If you have heart disease, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, or diabetes you can take steps to lower your risk for stroke.

Check Cholesterol

Your health care provider should test your cholesterol levels at least once every 5 years. If you have high cholesterol, medications and lifestyle changes can help reduce your risk for stroke.

Control Blood Pressure

血压控制
High blood pressure usually has no symptoms, so be sure to have it checked on a regular basis. You can check your blood pressure at home, at a doctor’s office, or at a pharmacy.

高血压通常不会有任何症状,因此请确保定期测量血压。您可以在家、在医院或在药房测量血压。

If you have high blood pressure, your doctor might prescribe medication, recommend some changes in your lifestyle, or advise you to lower the levels of salt in your diet.

Manage Diabetes

糖尿病管理
If your health care provider thinks you have symptoms of diabetes, he or she may recommend that you get tested. If you have diabetes, monitor your blood sugar levels carefully. Your doctor may recommend certain lifestyle changes to help keep your blood sugar under good control—those actions will help reduce your risk for stroke.

If you have certain heart conditions, such as atrial fibrillation (irregular heartbeat), your health care team may recommend medical treatment or surgery. Taking care of heart problems can help prevent stroke.

Take Your Medicine

服药
If you take medication to treat heart disease, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, or diabetes, follow your doctor’s instructions carefully. Never stop taking your medication without talking to your doctor or pharmacist.

如果您通过药物来治疗心脏病、高胆固醇、高血压或糖尿病,请仔细遵循医嘱。请勿在没与医生商量的情况下擅自停止服药。



Talk with Your Health Care Team

You and your health care team can work together to prevent or treat the medical conditions that lead to stroke. Discuss your treatment plan regularly, and bring a list of questions to your appointments.

您与您的健康团队能联手预防或治疗能致中风的原因。定期讨论您的治疗方案,在就医时带上问题清单。

If you’ve already had a stroke or TIA, your health care team will work with you to prevent further strokes. Your treatment plan will include medications or surgery and lifestyle changes to reduce your risk for another stroke. Be sure to take your medications as directed and follow your doctor’s instructions.

如果您曾有一次中风或TIA(短暂性脑缺血发作),您的保健团队会与您一起预防再次中风。您的治疗方案会包括药物或手术治疗,以及生活方式改变以降低您再次中风的风险。请遵循医嘱服药。
