作为中国前卫乐坛极为活跃和多产的两位音乐家，李剑鸿和马木尔近年进行了多次现场即兴合作。2015年11月，在马木尔和张东的IZ乐队新专辑《无色》首发之后，李剑鸿、马木尔以及张东在北京首度合作。2016年3月26日，李剑鸿应马木尔和张东之邀远赴乌鲁木齐，在嬉游LIVEHOUSE三人进行了一场长达一个半小时的自由即兴演出。演出结束当晚，他们决定成立一个固定组合，进行更有方向性的探索，并参加明天音乐节。

马木尔和张东目前拥有六支乐队：IZ、响马、罪人、51区、细菌和锈。今年年初，他们已完成了细菌乐队和锈乐队的专辑，并将于摩登天空BAD HEAD厂牌发行。李剑鸿也领导着三支乐队：迷走神经、Mind Fiber和D!O!D!O!D。另外，马木尔和李剑鸿还拥有众多的个人创作，其中，马木尔的刀郎热瓦普个人实验专辑《农民》和李剑鸿的个人吉他实验专辑《此刻，就像一个死人》也已完成，即将由BAD HEAD推出。他们三人的组合建基于各自丰富的音乐经验，吉他、贝斯、鼓这传统的三大件在他们手里充满了前卫的张力，迅疾灵动地跨越繁杂多变的音乐类型，从氛围太空到迷幻噪音到工业摇滚......不可捉摸，难以名状。他们的音乐，是无止境的实验和有洁癖的噪音，是黑夜的游击队，只有明天的晨光才能暴露他们的脚印。Mamer & Zhang Dong

Mamer is an excellent figure in Chinese contemporary music landscape. Rooted in the fertile soil of national music, he has presented the audience plenty of modern music full of his own style.

Mamer went to Beijing and founded the legendary band IZ Band in 2002. “IZ” means “footprint” in Kazak. Mamer is not only an excellent musician but also a great teacher on Dobro of many famous musicians. In the year of 2008, he gained an international  reputation for his album “Eagle” released by the well-known British label Real World.

Besides IZ Band, Mamer and Zhang Dong formed another 5 bands named Bande, Kunakar, 51-Rayon, Mekrop and TAT. Though with the same members, the music style of each band can be easily distinguished from each other.Li Jianhong

Guitarist Li Jianhong is a leading figure in mainland China’s free improvisation music scene. His involvement in China’s experimental/noise/avant-garde culture started in the late 1990s. He is the founder of 2pi Records, the earliest experimental/noise/avant-garde music label in China, and the curator of 2pi Festival, held annually from 2003 to 2007, which was one of the most important festivals in the early stages of this kind of music in China. During the same period, he also curated live-performance series Home Violence. In 2011, he established a new label C.F.I with VAVABOND, which dedicates to promoting China’s free improvised music.Over the years, Li Jianhong has always been dabbling in different genres such as free improvised music, noise and psychedelic. In 2008, he began to explore new directions under the name of “Environment Improvisation”, focusing on the relationship between environment and performing.

Besides his solo projects, he is also a member of several groups, such as D!O!D!O!D!, VagusNerve (迷走神经) and Mind Fiber. By now, Li Jianhong has released about 30 albums under various labels around the world, including P.S.F. Records, Utech Records, Post-Concrete, aRCHIVE, Sub Rosa and 2pi Records.
