题目：Understanding why individual employees commit e-crimes: a routine activity perspective

摘要：In recent years, insider threats are raising growing concerns for government and commercial organizations. While most of the existing studies focus on security behaviors or deviant acts without malicious intent, we contend that there still is a pressing need to advance this line of research to capture and assess the crucial factors leading to employees’ committing computer related crimes with malicious intent in organizations. Drawing on the rich body of literature on criminology, this study advances information system security research by building and further conceptualizing our theoretical foundation on routine activity theory. This study seeks to gain a holistic view of e-crimes committed by employees, the weakest link of information security, specifically by looking at the offenders’ motivation, suitability of the desired target for e-crimes, and effect of security guardianship in organizations. With data from subjects who held a wide range of corporate positions, we tested a research model that can considerably enhance our understanding of internal security threats by synthetizing the criminological aspects of the offender, the target, and the guardian. The empirical findings of this study help us formulate a better understanding of internal security management. This research also provides organizational managers and security practitioners with empirical evidence and prescriptive directions for preventing e-crimes in organizations.

报告人简介：罗欣 (Xin “Robert” Luo)，博士，现任美国新墨西哥大学（The University of New Mexico）安德森管理学院校董事会荣誉教授(Regent’s Professor)和管理信息系统和信息安全保障的终身副教授。在安德森管理学院，他也是信息保障研究和教育中心的副主任。该机构是全美公认的在信息安全和保障教学研究方面杰出的中心之一。在新墨西哥大学，他也被授予安德森校友荣誉教授及获得丹尼尔斯基金商业道德学术荣誉奖金和安德森基金会学术荣誉奖金。罗欣博士目前是International Journal of Information and Computer Security以及International Journal of Accounting and Information Management等两家国际期刊的总编辑。同时，他也在全球最顶级的管理信息系统期刊MIS Quarterly的客座副编辑，及担任全球知名期刊Decision Sciences, European Journal of Information Systems, Electronic Commerce Research, Journal of Electronic Commerce Research及全球信息系统最高学术年会(International Conference on Information Systems)的副编辑。此外，罗欣博士受邀于2015年夏天客座主持全球决策科学著名期刊Decision Support Systems的关于信息安全的特刊。同时他受邀于2016年参与管理信息系统的顶级期刊European Journal of Information Systems的信息安全及隐私特刊的客座副编辑。罗欣博士也担任美国国家自然科学基金(U.S. National Science Foundation)在信息安全和隐私研究基金方面的评审专家。他的研究和教学基金申请都已分别获得美国和中国的国家自然科学基金资助。

罗欣博士的主要研究兴趣主要在信息系统安全管理，电子商务/移动商务，创新性技术用于战略决策和开发（云计算，绿色信息系统，社会网络），跨文化信息技术管理。罗欣博士在同行审阅的国际学术期刊、书籍和会议录上出版超过90篇科研报告。他的科研论文在国际顶级或著名的期刊发表，如Computers & Security, Communications of the ACM, Decision Sciences, Decision Support Systems, European Journal of Information Systems, Information Systems Journal, Journal of the Association for Information Systems, Journal of Strategic Information Systems。其中他在Decision Support Systems和Journal of Strategic Information Systems期刊上面发表的三篇文章被列为至2010年以来被引用率最高的科研成果(most cited articles)。此外，罗欣博士的研究成果也受到社会媒体的关注。他在2015年接受美国KRQE电视台的专访深入讨论和介绍了信息安全管理的趋势和受到的恶意侵入式程序威胁等。

罗欣博士在近年多次担任大型和国际学术会议的学术指导、学术编委及主席。例如2017年欧洲决策科学年会国际顾问委员、2016年美洲信息系统年会亚太分区共同主席、2014年担任亚太信息系统年会的博士生论坛指导顾问；2013和2014年亚太信息系统年会的用户行为及信息安全及隐私两个方向的共同主席；2014年第六届中美高级电子商务论坛美方主席；2012年国际软件知识信息管理及应用会议的用户体验及企业系统的共同主席；2010年电子服务及商务智能会议的共同主席；2008至2010年美洲信息系统年会大中华区信息通信技术方向的共同主席等。作为全球最顶级的信息系统安全研究会议 (IFIP WG8.11/WG 11.13 The DewaldRoode Information Security Workshop)的创始成员之一，罗欣博士还于2012年获得该组织的最佳评审奖。2009年至今被美国Marquis选入“全球名人录”(Who is Who in the World)。
