译联黄埔笔译学院封闭式实战培训第一期已发出招生公告6天，已有超过30位同学咨询，已有20多位同学确认报名。他们中，有的翻译功底已经很好，有的已经从事笔译实战多年，都有非常端正的学习态度，都对翻译职业充满感情和期待。他们还想把翻译做得更好，还想尝试做译审和项目经理这些更高层次的工作。

欢迎你参加译联黄埔笔译实训。你的简历我忘记看了也忘记下载了，如今已过期无法打开，请再发给我一遍。至于你的条件是否适合报名第一期，我要测试你的译文，包括中译英和英译中，只要我觉得你的译文达到我的满意，包括简单修改后可用或感觉具有可修改然后能提高逐步达到可用这个苗头，你都是符合我学员要求的。应该和中国的7小时时差不是问题，封闭式培训主要想控制学员的有效学习时间和便于沟通交流，只要学员自制力足够强，能严格要求自己，远程也是可以的。还有分期付款也没问题。我会和每位学员签订一份协议，把各种责权利都做好约定，大家按照协议执行即可。我做这个笔译实战培训目的是为行业培养可用好用靠谱诚信的翻译人才，培养结果必须是我作为老师、学员作为人才、翻译公司或客户作为用人才的单位，三方都共赢的。

Welcome to join the Whampoa Translation Training Program organised by China Union of Translators and Interpreters (CUTI), I would appreciate it if you could send me your CV again since the former one you sent is expired. To meet the application requirements of our first phrase, your translation abilities in both directions between Chinese and English will be tested. As long as I am satisfied with you rtranslation which can be sent to our clients after simple proofreading or can predict your potential to do so, you are the one I want. Besides, the time difference between China and the UK is not a problem. The purpose of our closed training is to ensure the effective practising time and the convenience of communication. Remote tutoring is acceptable so long as students can show a strong self-control and be strict with themselves. Instalment payment is also acceptable. An agreement with well-defined rights and responsibilities will be signed between the trainee and me, which should be followed by both sides. The goal of this program is to train qualified translators with integrity for the Chinese Translation Industry. The training outcome should be tripartite wins for me as the teacher, trainee as the talents and translation companies or clients as the third-party to hire these talents.

I am quite interested in the closed course of translation training which you have shared in the wechat. The excellent translation texts sharing also attract me to this program. But I am still wondering whether I am suitable for this kind of program. On the one hand, I am practising in an advertising company during the daytime. on the other hand, for this large sum of tuition, one-time payment is unafforadable for such a student at school like me. 那您是如何进行筛选的呢。而且是这样的，我是日语系毕业的学生，目前是天津的一名公务员。我很看重自己的语言技能，业余时间做过英语和日语的专利翻译工作还有字幕组的工作。但是一直苦于没有人给出明确的修改意见，也不清楚翻译行业的规范和门槛，所以希望得到您的指导。我白天有工作，之前看到可以远程教学所以想来咨询您。

I want to inquire that how you will screen the candidates. And here’s the thing, I’m a student graduated from the department of Japanese, served as a civil servant inTianjin at present. I pay great attention to practice my language skills, including both English and Japanese patent translation and making subtitle for fansubs. But I’m so frustrated that there’s no one to point out my wrong or inaccurate translations, and I don’t realize the standard and qualification of the translation industry. Whereas my confusion, I hope I can get your guidance. I have a job in my daytime, and I read the article released yesterday that distance learning can be available, so I try to contact you for counseling.

祝贺你，看来你可以做中日英互译，这种翻译人才是极少的。我这个培训主要模式就是带着学员做实际笔译项目，学员认真翻译我认真校对，学员基础好的可以早些学成出徒，基础不好的会花费更多时间或者干脆做不成翻译，也就是我说的“不是做翻译那块料儿”。不过，肯花费1万甚至更多学费学习的同学，应该都是好学生，将来做个合格甚至优秀翻译的可能性极大！

Congratulations for you, it seems that you have the potential to be a Chinese-Japanese-English translator which is in short supply. The main pattern of this training is to finish actual translation project under my instruction. The apprentices translate vigorously, At the same time I try my best to proofread their files. A apprentice with good basis can graduate earlier, on the other side, one with poor basis will take much more time or even failed to be a qualified translator, so called “not suited to translation” in my opinion. Nevertheless, a student who makes up his mind to spend 10 thousands or more to study must be a good learner, and it will be good chances for them to be a qualified or even an excellent translator in the future.

You’re well welcomed. But… you need to know much about translation, otherwise, I’m afraid, I don’t want to be your trainer as if I get you into my program, it means a lot of work for me and the effect won’t be satisfactory. What’s more worse, you possibly still won’t be a qualified translator even after my training.

How many years have you been a freelance translator？ And how many years you’ve been in this industry and how much translation work you’ve done? If you’re experienced and can make money by it, that means you have possess foundation in this field.

I can assist you in getting access to better translation companies which can offer you a higher rewards for your work as long as you’re competent in translating. As for gaining direct client resources, it requires more time and higher skill in self-promotion, also, good luck is needed for that.

That’s how I become what I am today!

I’ll assign you some paperwork to translate, then, I’ll instruct your translation and you need to polish your work till your work is qualified. At the beginning of the program, the instruction will be given by me. but in the future, when the program is spread to many other parts of China and many trainees are enrolled, I’ll be busy and the training model is feasible, I will “copy” myself—incorporating other senior translators into my team with such trainging.
