Don’t be alarmed, we are not going to ask you to attend a group therapy session where everyone is asked to share some chicken soup… we simply are going to talk about it, and to those who don’t yet know what it means, here is a little hint: the term chicken soup refers to words, phrases, articles, or any other forms of content that convey “positive energy” to people, and at the same time, cast away the “negative energy”, and ideally, it lets you stay in the “positive energy”.

中国鸡汤之母于丹（小编认为）在一次采访中，被问到：“我和我女朋友，我们毕业留在北京，我们俩真没什么钱。我买不起房子，就租一个房子住着，我们的朋友挺多，老叫我们出去吃饭，后来我们就不好意思去了，老吃人家的饭。我在北京的薪水很低，我真是一无所有，该如何是好？”

于丹答：“第一，你有多少同学想要留京没有留下，可是你留下了，你在北京有了一份正式的工作。第二，你有了一个能与你相濡以沫的女朋友，第三，那么多人请你吃饭，说明你人缘挺好有着一堆朋友，你拥有这么多，凭什么说你一无所有呢？”

Ms. Yudan then replied: “first of all, so many schoolmates of yours wanted to stay in Beijing but couldn’t, and you could, adding to that, you have a decent job in Beijing, secondly, you have a girlfriend who is willing to share this life with you, and lastly, you have a great deal of friends! You do have so much, how could you say that you don’t have anything?”

看完这个鸡汤，浑身解气，好像真的拥有了全世界。但是仔细一想，她并没有提出什么切实可行的办法。只是绕过问题用另一种思维去考虑而已。对于年轻一代，面对问题不去解决并不是什么一件好事儿。所以喝了那么多鸡汤，还是一幅营养不良的样子。

Well, “drinking” this bowl of chicken soup, it would seem to anyone that the world is his/her oyster, but think about it, did she offer any practical answer as to the young guy’s question?
