雅思的写作和口语一直是中国考生的拦路虎，一般在词汇的运用方面不够地道、新颖，使用的句式也过于短小、单一。

昨天的文章中提到了Netball，所以今天Ying特意找了一篇报道Netball比赛的文章。这篇文章介绍的是在维省几支女子球队的比赛情况。大家着重从文中学习一些比赛中用到的词汇，个人觉得如果用心总结，是非常好的口语素材～～

Ying记得前两年雅思口语有一个话题是“你喜欢的一项运动”，要知道，雅思题库并不是时时更新，而是过段时间就会循环一次，所以没准什么时候这个话题又会回来，即便不是一模一样的话题，这些素材也可以灵活运用到其他的题目当中。试想一下，考官一直听的都是跑步，游泳，足球，篮球这些运动，如果突然听到Netball，肯定会精神为之一振啊～～～要知道，考官也是人，也有审美疲劳滴！Ps：男生慎用啊～～～

LAST Wednesday night, at the State Netball Hockey Centre in Parkville, Monash University Storm ran into a DC North-East Blaze out fit with its season on the line.

And, desperate for a win to stay in touch with the Victorian Netball League championship division top four, the Blaze had too much to play for and won 55-37.

The Storm struggled early and fell behind by seven goals at the first change, 12 at the half and 17 by the final change of ends.

But, to its credit, Monash University stemmed the flow in the final quarter and limited the damage to just one further goal.

Stacey Northey again led the Storm scoring, netting 23 of her 27attempts (86 per cent), while Tayla Shannon had six-from seven (86 per cent)and Natalie Billings eight-from-12 (67 per cent).

Veteran campaigners Clare Pettyfer (goal defence) and Lillian O’Sullivan (wing attack and centre)refused to buckle under the relentless Blaze pressure and were clearly Monash University’s best.

With the defeat, Monash University is eighth, a game clear of ACU Sovereigns (ninth) and three to the good of Yarra Valley Grammar Ariels(10th).

This week, the Storm faces a daunting task when it takes the court against a ladder-leading City WestFalcons outfit on a 10-game winning streak after losing its season-opener.

1、Ran into: 遭遇，遇上。

这里ran是run的过去式，千万别写成runned（这是什么鬼？），压根没有这个词好吗？！过去分词还是run！！！过去式和过去分词不一样好吗！亲！！过去式和过去分词的区别在哪？？。。。自己查语法书去～～～

2、Outfit：（口语）单位，有组织的机构。

因为报纸的文章并不是学术期刊，所以会有很多口语化的词汇和用法，尤其是主要针对当地人的报纸杂志。但是不建议大家用在写作上面，因为雅思写作基本都是议论文，不适合使用太过口语化的东西～～～

3、On the line：处于危险中

4、Stay in touch：联结，保持联系

5、Netting：击球入网得分

6、Goal defence：Netball中的一个位置，大体职责是防守，具体的区域，走位小编也说不明白。。。汗ing！！大家看看下图尽量理解吧～～～不负责任的小编飘走～～～～



7、Wing attack and centre：Wingattack 和Centre其实是netball中的两个位置，Wingattack的明意是边线进攻，主要是助攻，帮助GoalShooter得分。Centre的角色就比较灵活，进攻防守，传球助攻～～～艾玛！解释的心好累～～～具体参考上图吧。

8、Daunting：使人畏缩的；使人气馁的
