此器物通高29.3厘米，口径13.7厘米，腹部最大直径10.8厘米，底足10.5厘米。器型别致。敞口，口面略显不平，细腰，高身，凸出小圆腹，矮圈足，底足外墙斜切一刀，古朴自然。

觚底微凹，足心有“大明嘉靖年制”青花六字款。从上至下共有六层纹饰。觚口至圆腹以上为五彩花石纹。中间球腹绘双凤祥云，以下是一周蕉叶纹。下腹部为五彩祥云纹，飘逸疏淡。胫部绘回环折枝花卉纹，分向别出，并无交缠。近底部绘红、黄、蓝、绿等色连叶纹。

器物造型为仿青铜器制作，分段衔接而成，内壁拉坯痕迹清晰，造型精美线条流畅，釉色自然老旧。通身白釉之上彩绘，施彩浓烈，对比明显却又在情理之中。釉面氧化较重，显示岁月沧桑。品相完美，保存至今，实属不易，具有非常高的收藏价值。

Overall height 29.3 cm, 13.7 cm diameter at the mouth, 10.8 cm diameter at the widest part of the belly, 10.5 cm diameter at the base. The shape of this vessel is exquisite. It has an open slightly uneven mouth, a narrow waist, tall body and a protruding round small belly. The outer wall of the squat round feet was cut on the diagonal. This piece is unsophisticated and natural. The base of the gu is slightly hollow and in the center it bears a six-character seal in blue and white reading “Made in the reign of the Emperor Jiajing of the Great Ming”. From head to foot there are a total of six layers of decoration. Wucai flowers and rocks decorate the section from the mouth to just above the belly. In the centre of the spherical belly are painted a pair of phoenixes and auspicious clouds, below which is a ring of plantain leaves. The lower part of the belly is elegantly decorated with sparse wucai auspicious clouds. The shin has a pattern of rounds of broken branches and flowers which separate from each other rather than intertwining. A pattern of linked leaves in red, yellow, blue and green decorates the section near to the base. The shape of this vessel mimics that of bronze vessels and it was created by joining separate sections. There are clear traces on the inner wall of the vessel having been thrown. The shape is exquisite and the lines fluid. The white glaze has naturally aged. The colored painting is applied on top of the white glaze which covers the entire vessel. There is a strong use of color but the contrast remains within reason. There is quite severe oxidation of the glaze which attests to the age of this item. This vessel is in perfect condition and its preservation to the present is not an easy matter. It is an extremely collectible piece.
