历经国破颠覆，从达官显贵到被贬谪的平民，在饱尝了艰难忧愤之后，屈原才吟出了“路漫漫其修远兮，吾将上下而求索”的千古绝唱。从天真烂漫的少女时代到孤苦伶仃的暮年，在遍识人间坎坷之后，李清照才写出了“生当做人杰，死亦为鬼雄”的不朽诗篇。正是因为他们经历了重重苦难，才到了燕吐而燕子归来，花尽而硕果满枝。在诗词的造诣上，世人只可仰望，不可企及。他们活出了生命的内涵，延长了生命之路。

人生的赛跑中，在有限的时间里，延长生命之路，就是要活出生命的意义、活出生命的价值、活出生命的内涵。

(2015年高考) My color television has given me nothing but a headache.I was able to buyit a little over a year ago because Ihad my relatives give me money for my birthdayinstead of a lot of clothes that wouldn’t fit.I let a salesclerk fool me intobuying a discontinued model,I realized this a day late,when I saw newspaperadvertisements for the set at seventy-five dollars less than I had paid,The set worked so beautifullywhen I first got it home that I would keep it on until stations signed off for the night,Fortunately, I didn’t got anychannels showing all-night movies or I would never have gotten to bed.

Then I started developing a problem withthe set that involved static (静电) noise. For some reason,when certain shows switched into acommercial, a loud noise would sound for a few seconds. Gradually,this noisebegan to appear during a show, and to get rid of it,I had to change to anotherchannel and then change it back.Sometimes this technique would not work,and Ihad to pick up the set and shake it to remove the sound. I actually began tobuild up my arm muscles(肌肉) shaking my set.

When neither of these methods removed thestatic noise ,I would sit helplessly and wait for the noise to go away.At last I ended up hitting the set with myfist,and it stopped working altogether .My trip to the repair shop cost me $62, and the set is working well now,but I keepexpecting more trouble.

More student than ever cefore are taking agap-year (间隔年)before going to university.It used to becalled the “year off” between school and university.The gap-year phenomenonoriginated(起源) with the months left over to Oxbridgeapplicants between entrance exams in November and the start of the nextacademic year.

This year, 25,310 students who haveaccepted places in higher education institutions have put off their entry untilnext year, according to statistics on university entrance provided byUniversity and College Admissions Serbice(UCAS).

That is a record 14.7% increase in thenumber of students taking a gap year. Tony Higgins from UCAS said that the statistics are good news foreveryone in higher education. “Students who take a well-planned year out aremore likely to be stisfied with, and complete, their chosen course. Studentswho take a gap year are often more mature and responsible,” he said.

But not everyone is happy. Owain James, thepresident of the National Union of Students(NUS), argued that the increase isevidence of student had ship – young people are being forced into earning moneybefore finishing their education. “New students are now aware that they arelikely to leave university up to ￡15,000 in debt. Itis not surprising that more and More students are taking a gap year to earnmoney to support their study for the degree.NUS statistics show that over40% of students are forced to work during term time and the figure increases to 90% during vacation periods,”he said.
