Halo 大家好~本周份的【斜杠青年】又和大家见面啦！

上一期，和大家介绍了一位在伦敦搞起了一个神秘组织的小姐姐（传送门：斜杠青年 | 设计史博士的客厅沙龙奇幻漂流记），今天这位则有点反差萌——你能相信他常常用一本正经的法官式腔调，为大家分析讲解某菜品最地道的做法嘛~

说起厨师，也许大家的脑海中会条件反射出一个腆着肚腩的浑圆形象，鲜少有人会将一位戴着黑框眼镜、安静的留学生与和灶台上噼里啪啦的油烟气息结合在一起。不过，这位法律专业的留学生已有多年的厨龄，几百号人尝过他的“粗茶淡饭”，当他的粉丝冠以他“大厨”的昵称时，金旭东连忙谦虚表态说火候还差很多，不过笑称自己是“行走的美食家”：“我是去到哪，吃到哪儿。”

金旭东曾作为伦敦千高原沙龙嘉宾，主讲Billingsgate海鲜市场的历史发展与现状，以及文化的变迁

“小时候父母工作忙，经常独自一人在家，日子久了就会瞎琢磨着自己做点好吃的。不过那时手艺惨不忍睹，而且把厨房弄得遍地狼藉。但试过多次之后，终于也成功了。大概就是从那时起，我对自己的厨艺也建立了自信。”金旭东说，自己正式开始自学做菜应该是从2010年去美国读高中开始。那时学校周围没有中餐馆，他只能自己动手下厨。“那时我时常做自我建设：你的爷爷是大厨，你肯定没问题。”

也许是自带祖传的美食家基因，也许每一次都用尽了心思的烹调，金旭东的手艺精进迅猛，前来蹭饭的吃货圈不断扩大，因此他也萌发了一个念头：我何不教会更多的人做菜呢？

于是，在2013年，刚刚升入宾夕法尼亚州立大学学习国际关系的大一新生金旭东，在学校注册创立了一个烹饪俱乐部，用食物的香气诱惑了更多的人投入中华美食的怀抱。

烧得一手好菜并非难事，难的是想要通过成立固定的组织，定期教同学做菜。而且这一想法很快就付诸于行动。金旭东准备了一份计划书，阐明观点和申请资金；再寻找官方技术支持，和学校餐厅主厨，建立起了良好的战略合作伙伴关系。

“当时申请很快就被批准了，活动场地是在学校餐厅的厨房。这里厨具应有尽有，所以我会现场教会员做菜，偶尔也会让带领大家学习Youtube上的美食教程。当时的会员有六七十人，大部分都是当地和国际学生，剩下一小部分是华人。”

每周的厨艺分享让他在校园内凝聚了不低的人气，同时他也不曾落下学业。大二上学期，金旭东竞选成为校国际学生会（International Students Club）的主席，并在众多活动中植入中国文化，让国际留学生成为了大熊猫的迷妹迷弟。

“当时教过大家剪纸、画中国画、写汉字——他们对汉字很感兴趣，经常会问我一些汉字的意思。当然，必不可少的还有中国菜。”

在此期间，金旭东担任了19门课程的助教（Tutor），甚至还提前把学期内的学分修完，最后以优异成绩毕业，是学校的荣誉学生。也就是在这段时间里，他的深夜食堂还温暖过许多留学生想家的胃。

“当时我会提供了一些定制家常菜，只要是晚上大家肚子饿了，给我一个电话，我就能帮大家做。”

同时，他还在中国BBS网站——天涯论坛上开了一个帖子，分享他自创的美食菜谱。从图片到文字，他自己编写信息并发布，其中还时不时地回答大家的问题，目前已有三十多万的点击量和三千多条的回复。

目前的金旭东在英国就读LLB项目，由于功课繁重，他虽然不再经常下厨，但每次烹调菜色的精细和难度都远胜于从前。

“如果有朋友要来家里吃饭，我会提前一周就准备菜单。因为要考虑到季节、菜颜色的搭配和制作的时间。”

在金旭东看来，下厨本身就是一个与自我对话的过程。无论是在清理食材时亲手触碰到食材的悸动，还是做菜时一勺在手、将世间万物为我所用下的霸气，以及小伙伴们将美味一扫而光的举动，都会让金旭东有莫大的感动和欣慰。

“我觉得最好的厨艺高低不在于它的稀缺或者说门槛。用看似腐朽的食物做出美食才是我们中华美食的精髓之所在，用名贵食材做的不过是锦上添花的功夫罢了。”
