提摩太后书1:9 神救了我们，以圣召召我们，不是按我们的行为，乃是按他的旨意和恩典。这恩典是万古之先，在基督耶稣里赐给我们的

提摩太后书1:9【扩充版圣经（经典版）】......而是为了推进祂自己的目的和恩典（无功受禄的恩惠），这恩典是在世界开始之前（万古之先）就在基督耶稣里赐给我们的。

扩充版圣经（经典版）说，天父呼召我们，是为了推进祂的目的，和祂在耶稣基督里赐给我们的恩典。

在创世之前，天父的目的和恩典就已经为我们计划了。当神创造地球围绕着太阳转时，昼夜就这样造成了，时间也开始了。

祂赐给我们的首要目的和恩典是要我们重生在基督里，成为基督身体的一部分。我们受洗归入基督以后，祂仍旧对我们有一个计划，祂的目的也在祂的计划里。在耶稣基督里，我们活着有一个目的，我们有一个神圣的目的，比我们自己所设计的任何目的更崇高。

“生命的目的是什么”，“生命的意义是什么”，“活着的意义是什么”，这些都是同义词（他们都有同样的或者相近的意思）。

重要的是我们要明白天父创造我们是要我们活出一个有意义的生命，而不是无意义的。一个有意义的生命是一个有目的的生命。一个有目的的生命对你有什么用呢？为什么我们应该寻找生命的意义或目的而不是寻找快乐呢？

下一篇文章我会讨论生命的目的（意义）和快乐之间的不同。

The Father Has a Purpose for Our Lives

2 Timothy 1:9 (NIV) He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time,

2 Timothy 1:9 (AMPC)  …but because of and to further His own purpose and grace (unmerited favor) which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began [eternal ages ago].

The Amplified Classic Bible says, the Father has called us because of and to further His own purpose and grace which was given us in Christ Jesus.

The Father’s purpose and grace were already planned for us before the beginning of time. The beginning of time began when God recreated the earth to revolve around the sun and day and night were created.

His first purpose and grace for us was to be born again to be in Christ and become a member of the Body of Christ. After we were baptised into Christ, He had and still has a plan for us and His purpose is in HIs plan. In Christ Jesus we live life with a purpose, there is a divine purpose for us which is a higher purpose than any other purpose of our own design.

The phrase “what is the purpose of life”, “what is the meaning of life”,  “what is the meaning of living”,  they are all synonymous (they all have the same or nearly the same meaning).

It is very important we understand that the Heavenly Father created us to live life meaningfully and not meaninglessly. A meaningful life is a purposeful life. What would a purposeful life do for you? Why should we search for the meaning of life or the purpose in life rather than seeking for happiness?

In the next article I would like to discuss about the difference between the purpose (meaning) in life and happiness.

亲爱的朋友，如果今天你还未接受天父对你的爱（约翰福音3:16），你从未接受过耶稣基督作为你个人的救主，现在就是你领受救恩的最好机会。圣经告诉我们，基督为我们的罪死了，而且埋葬了，第三天复活了（哥林多前书15:3-4），今天你若口里认耶稣为主，心里信神叫他从死里复活，就必得救。因为人心里相信就可以称义，口里承认就可以得救。（罗马书10:9-10）

你可以这样祷告：“天父，谢谢你让耶稣为我死在十字架，我也相信你叫祂从死里复活。你的话语说，凡求告主耶稣名字的人，就必得救。我愿意接受耶稣进入我的生命，成为我的救主。我承认耶稣为主。现在，我是天父的孩子了，我得救了！谢谢天父。”
