1.生铁排名世界第一
2013年中国的生铁产量为6.58亿吨，排名世界第一，占全球总产量的59%;与1978年中国生铁产量3479万吨相比，增长了17.9倍，翻了将近9番。
2.煤炭排名世界第一
2013年中国煤炭产量为36.6亿吨，为全球最大产煤国，产量占到全球总产量的一半;为1978年6.1亿吨的6.6倍。
3.粗钢排名世界第一
2013年中国的粗钢产量为7.17亿吨，占全球15.5亿吨粗钢产量的46.3%，排名世界第一，超过第2至第20名的总和;与1978年的3178万吨相比，增长了21.6倍，翻了10番半。
4. 造船产量世界第一
2013年，中国的造船完工量6021万吨，虽然受全球主要是欧美市场萎缩的影响比上年下降21.4%，但仍位居世界第一位，占到世界总造船量的41%。
5.水泥排名世界第一
2013年中国水泥产量为21.84亿吨，排名世界第一，产量占世界总产量的60%以上;是1978年6524万吨的33.5倍。

2013年中国汽车产量1927.18万辆，连续四年蝉联世界第一，产量占世界总产量的25%，稳坐世界第一大汽车生产大国的宝座;是1978年14.91万辆的129.25倍。
