NORTH CHINA OPEN 2016 WILL HOLDING AT HIU

Heilongjiang International University and CHINA OPEN Organizing Committee are very pleased to announce: NORTH CHINA OPEN 2016 @ HIU will be hosted on the campus of HIU on May 13–15.

Heilongjiang International University (HIU) is the only language university in Heilongjiang Province. Since establishment, HIU has been adhering to international education, and has subsequently joined several world-famous associations of higher education, such as IAUP, NIBS and so forth. Moreover, HIU has been granted over 60 titles of honor by the Chinese Ministry of Education as well as Heilongjiang Provincial Education Department.

CHINA OPEN is the largest debate competition in China and the only Chinese and English bilingual debate competition all over the world, co-founded by Willamette University and Xi’an Jiaotong University in May 2010. In 2015, 176 English teams and 128 Mandarin teams joined this event, which makes CHINA OPEN to be the second largest debate tournament after WUDC.

NORTH CHINA OPEN is the regional branch of CHINA OPEN. Since 2012, the CHINA OPEN organization team has held training and exchange orientated regional tournaments at central cities across the country such as NCO. Multiple domestic elite universities joined those events in past 4 years, including Peking University, Fudan University, Nanjing University and Nankai University. The international, impartial and academic standardization of this event are widely recognized. Event certificate is recognized by many world famous university admissions agencies.

It is HIU’s great honor to be the hostfor North China Open 2016 on May 14th and 15th. We’revery pleased to have 14 universities and 32 teams invited from northern part ofChina. It is our wish that this North China Open could stimulate students’logical thinking and language expression. Meanwhile it will provide them anopportunity to have deepened thinking of social problems and phenomena in thecross-cultural environment.We sincerely hope all the debaters could showtheir best performance and be harvest.

即将在黑龙江外国语学院隆重举行

黑龙江外国语学院和中国辩论公开赛组委会非常高兴地宣布：2016 中国（北方）辩论公开赛将于 5 月 13-15 日在黑龙江外国语学院举行。

黑龙江外国语学院是黑龙江省唯一一所语言类普通高等本科院校。学院自成立以来，坚持走教育与国际接轨之路，先后加入世界大学校长联盟、国际商学院联盟等知名国际高等教育组织，曾先后被教育部和省教育厅等上级部门授予60余项荣誉称号。

中国辩论公开赛是中国规模最大的辩论赛事，也是世界上唯一的国际性中英文双语辩论赛事，由美国威拉姆特大学和西安交通大学于 2010 年 5 月联合创办。2015 年赛事共有 176 支英文队和 128 支中文队参赛，大赛总规模仅次于世界大学生辩论赛（WUDC）。

中国（北方）辩论公开赛是这一赛事的地区性活动。自 2012 年起，中国辩论公开赛组织团队开始在全国各中心城市举办地区性训练交流型辩论赛事，中国（北方）辩论公开赛便是其中之一。过去四年中，包括北京大学、复旦大学、南京大学、南开大学等国内名校派队参加。赛事的国际性、公正性和学术规范性受到广泛认可，赛事证书获得众多世界著名大学招生机构的认可。

黑龙江外国语学院很荣幸能在5月14,15日举办此次中国（北方）辩论公开赛，我们很高兴能邀请到中国北部14所高校的32支代表队前来参赛。我们希望此次中国北方辩论赛能激发学生的逻辑思维和语言表达。同时也将为他们提供一个在跨文化环境中加深对社会问题和现象的思考的机会。真诚的祝愿所有的辩手能在比赛中取得佳绩，有所收获！
