主 题：Constellating World Literature

内容提要：This study aims to lay the theoretical groundwork for the constellation paradigm in world literature studies. The first section conducts an interdisciplinary investigation of the concept of constellation in astronomy/astrology, epistemology, and literary hermeneutics. The second section presents the current theoretical explorations for an epistemological alteration in world literature studies. The third section illustrates how constellating world literature operates with three key factors, i.e. points of departure, horizon changes, and universal poetics. Finally, the author concludes that the constellation paradigm serves not only as a useful theoretical tool but also as a remedy for world literature studies under the threats of globalization and nationalism.
主讲人简介：As a multilingual and interdisciplinary scholar, Dr. HUANG Yu has published six research articles about world literature, modern Chinese literature and culture in global contexts in top-tier international peer-reviewed journals such as Modern Language Quarterly and Neohelicon. After obtaining her PhD in Transcultural Studies, she completed her postdoctoral research (2011-2013) in world literature and comparative literature focusing on the dialogues between Chinese literature and Western literature. Her research interests focus on comparative literature and world literature, modern and contemporary Chinese literature in global contexts, literary and cultural theories, and aesthetic theories.
