2017年本科申请CommonApplication提前开放...

美国大学本科通用申请系统Common Application, 简称CA，是申请美国本科以及本科转学的在线网络申请平台。学生通过此系统在截止日期之前递交申请材料。



往年，Common App会在每年的8月1日重新开放系统，而今年，Common App已经在近日开放系统。这一举措，目的是为了方便更多有意早申请的同学（申请EA, ED）可以提前熟悉申请流程和网申系统，提前做好充分的准备！今年的系统中，也有了一些进一步的改进。比如在性别一栏中，以往只有male 和female两种选择，今年增加了自定义文本框，让申请人自行描述。这不仅表现了Common App的与时俱进与包容，更是对小部分群体的尊重。比如因为某些生理心理原因做过变性手术的申请者，或者是心理性别与生理性别不相同的申请者等。

不过，2017年的文书题目与2016年相同，也是五选一。

The lessons we take from failure can be fundamental to later success. Recount an incident or time when you experienced failure. How did it affect you, and what did you learn from the experience?

失败是成功之母。讲述一次你失败的经历，并告诉我们，这次经历是如何影响了你，你从中学到了什么？

Reflect on a time when you challenged a belief or idea. What prompted you to act? Would you make the same decision again?

请回忆一次你挑战某种观点或者信念的经历。是什么促使你这么做的？如果再给你一次机会，你是否还是选择这么做？

Describe a problem you have solved or a problem you’d like to solve. It can be an intellectual challenge, a research query, an ethical dilemma-anything that is of personal importance, no matter the scale. Explain its significance to you and what steps you took or could be taken to identify a solution.

请描述一个你解决过或者希望去解决的难题。这个难题可以是智力挑战，研究问题或者是道德困境，范围不限。请解释它对你的重要性，以及你解决问题所采取的措施或者找出的解决方案。

Discuss an accomplishment or event, formal or informal, that marked your transition from childhood to adulthood within your culture, community, or family.

请讨论一下发生在你的文化背景、社区或家庭中的一件标志着你变得成熟的成就或者事件，这件事可以是正式的，或是非正式的。

建议高二的同学，现在可以在Common App中创建账户，熟悉申请界面，了解申请流程，有备无患！
