paul，小编的新同事~最初我们是在一次活动中，偶然结识，觉得他很幽默，中文又很好~喝多了都能用中文沟通，简直了~~~后来某一天突然空降而来，我们成为了同事~~~阿paul得到来，解救了小编，因为我再也不是办公室肤色最黑的啦~~~

小编又爆照了这个就是paul小时候学习中文的学校，为什么学习中文？只因为中文学校离家近...这个理由也是...

从小热爱大自然的paul...对环境，动物一直很感兴趣，他在马来西亚的时候认识了一位从事海龟保护研究的女博士，就自愿帮她一起做海龟保护研究的工作。他们一起去了一个海龟繁衍的小岛，帮助那些刚破壳而出的小海龟从沙滩回归大海。







2012年他拿到了一笔奖学金，听说学校有个去其他国家留学培训的项目，他就选择了中国云南的西双版纳。他小时候就学过一点中文，因此来中国重新学了一年中文，日常的交流不成问题后。在接触中他慢慢地了解了中国，也对中国产生了深厚的感情，最后决定留下来。他想在中国高校也学习一些关于环境保护的课程，于是积极准备，经过一番努力后成功考上了清华大学的研究生。

今年阿paul又成功征服了奥伊米亚康，成为了第一个踏足此地的马来西亚人！





阿Paul现在住在北京一个普通的小区里，街长里短，热热闹闹，他也觉得挺习惯。还很喜欢去广场，听听小苹果，看看大妈们来一段广场舞。本期犄角旮栏儿就由阿paul带我们进去KING KONG得世界King Kong is a famous movie character that most of us would have come across, maybe to a few of us who idolize it as a character from our childhood. Its last appearance was on the 2005 movie, starring with Naomi Watts and Jack Black, I remembered how excited we were, a bunch of King Kong fans lining the queue to get our hands on the premier tickets. Entering the foggy Skull Island was always a thriller.

金刚是一个著名的电影角色，我们大多数人都知道，也许在我们童年时候还会把他当作偶像。它最后一次亮相是在2005那部电影，主演是内奥米瓦和杰克布莱克，我记得我们特别兴奋，一堆的金刚迷拿着手中的首映票去排队。进入迷雾的骷髅岛永远让我们感到惊悚。The King Kong character was created by U.S filmmaker Merian C. Cooper. Kong, a name given by the Skull Island natives. They co-exist with other over-sized animals such as plesiosaurs, pterosaurs, and dinosaurs.

金刚这个角色是由美国电影制作人库珀创造，电影中骷髅岛得土著命名把它命名为金刚。他们与岛上其他超大型动物共存，如蛇颈龙、翼龙、恐龙。Alright！ That’s all about the preview on the movie, back to serious animal world stuff!

Gorilla gorilla. Referring to the text taken from the GeographiciGraeciMinores, the word “gorilla”comes from the history of Hanno the Navigator, (circa 500 BC) a Carthagian explorer on an expedition on the west African coast to the area that later became Sierra Leone.

大猩猩，这个词是大约公元前500，历史上一个叫汉诺的航海家，在他的GeographiciGraeciMinores书里提出。汉诺探险队在非洲西海岸地区探险，皇后来成为了塞拉利昂Carthagian探险家。The Gorilla is divided into two species: the eastern gorillas and the western gorillas, and either four or five subspecies. They are the largest living primates by physical size. Gorilla’s DNA is highly similar to that of humans, from 95-99%.

大猩猩分为2种，东部大猩猩和西部大猩猩，再细分的话还有4到5种。他们是身体最大的灵长类动物。大猩猩得DNA与人类相似程度达95%-99%



On 12 September 2007, the World Conservation Union (IUCN) released the 2007 IUCN Red List of Threatened Species. In this release, they have raised their classification of both the western lowland gorilla (Gorilla gorilla gorilla) and the Cross River gorilla (Gorilla gorilladiehli) from endangered to critically endangered, which is the last category before extinct in the wild, due to Ebola virus and poaching, along with other factors.

They live in forest, swampland and montane regions.

大猩猩生活在非洲以下国家：喀麦隆、中非共和国、赤道新几内亚、加蓬和刚果共和国。他们生活在森林、沼泽地和山区。Gorilla lives in groups, called a “troop” of an average of 5 to 9 gorilla depending on the species. The head of the group is called a silverback, the adult male. Males weigh in the 300-500 range, with females half that size. Babies from 1 to 3 years weigh about 20-30 pounds. They learn to walk at 5 to 6 months. They share mom’s nest until they are 4 to 6 years old.

大猩猩是群居动物，称为“部队”，平均为5到9只大猩猩，数量的多少，这取决于物种。每个组的首领，，称为银背大猩猩。雄性体重大约在300-500磅，雌性是雄性体重的一半。大猩猩的宝宝，从1岁到3岁的体重约20-30磅。他们5到6个月开始学习走路。他们在4岁到6岁以前都居住在一起。The arms of a gorilla are longer than its legs. This enables them to walk on the knuckles of their hands-knuckle-walk. The different species of gorilla have different length and color of hair. Plus the shape of their skull and teeth size varies.

大猩猩得手臂要比腿长，这样能使他们用拳头走路，不同物种的大猩猩，有不同长度和颜色的头发以及身材，头骨和牙齿也是不一样的。Gorillas can live 35 years in the wild and over 50 years in captivity. They are shy, non-aggressive animals. They never attack humans unless provoked.

大猩猩一般寿命是35岁，如果是动物园里面的可以到50岁左右，它们很害羞，不具备攻击性。除非被人类激怒，否则不会攻击人类
