This workshop is designed for English teachers and Montessori teachers. We also welcome parents who are interested in home schooling.
Workshop Description
This workshop will demonstrate the Whole Language Approach and Montessori methods in the area of language. The teacher trainer will present the materials and group activities for childrenfrom 2 through 6 years old.
Applying the Whole Language Approach in the classroom is a method of teaching children to read and write by decoding and spelling. Through the experience of practicing phonics, it helps children establish useful foundation to explore in English language of listening, speaking, writing and reading.
Based on Montessori principals, this workshop will also present how to meet the needs of children in their development stages of language learning and sensitive periods. The participants will learn these quence of curriculum and various group activities for teaching young children with appropriate individual development.
