This weekend we are going to learn how to make MOST DELICIOUS OKONOMIYAKI!
这个星期我们要学习的是美味的日本大阪烧!
Okonomiyaki is been called Japanese Pancake or Japanese Pizza.It means you can put anything you want to mix together.Isn't that cool?
大阪烧也被称为日本的Pancake或者是日本的Pizza.Okonomi的意思是什么都可以加,也就是你喜欢什么食材都可以加进去,是非常受欢迎的日本家庭料理之一。
Why Okonomiyaki?
Here are few reasons!
为什么我们要学习制作大阪烧?选择大阪烧的理由有几点。


First ,it's easy to be cooked ,in Japan almost every family cook okonomiyaki for their kids and it's so DELICIOUS! So we choose to learn this so you can easily make it as breakfast or quick dish at home.

首先,他非常容易被学会,在日本的许多城市,大阪烧是家家户户都会制作的,并且每家都有自己的秘方,它非常好吃又方便在家里制作。

Second,to make a good one is not easy ,that's why we need to learn from our Japanese chef.Few days ago when I ask around where can I get the delicious okonomiyaki ,my Japnese friends always told me they miss the home tasty,and Jun (our chef) told me he can't find a really good one at Shanghai unless you made by yourself.

其次,即使是这样普遍的食物也不是人人都可以做的很好吃。当我询问身边的朋友在哪里可以吃到好吃又正宗的大阪烧的时候,日本朋友普遍告诉我家里做的是最好吃的,而我们的大厨Jun说他在上海没有吃到过让他满意的大阪烧,自己做的会比较好。于是果断决定请他教我们做好吃的大阪烧了!

Then,it's a dish that has a lot possibilities ,once you learn how to make it you can make differnt kind of okonomiyaki by your own,make your own style.

最后呢,大阪烧是一种有许多许多可能性的食物,所以当你学会了以后可以制作属于自己风格的大阪烧,选择有趣的食物也是重要的原因之一。

Kobe Style okonomiyaki is thiner than Osaka Style one ,in Shanghai the most popular okonomiyaki is Osaka style so it's hard to find Kobe style and other kinds of okonomiyaki in Shanghai. In this workshop you will know the difference between them and learn more about Japanese food culture.
虽然叫大阪烧,但是也不是只有大阪有大阪烧而已,我们将学习日本不同地区的大阪烧的做法,神户的大阪烧会稍微薄一些,用的材料也会不一样。在上海我们通常吃到的是大阪的大阪烧,很难吃到别的口味,所以也希望通过工作坊让大家了解更多日本的美食文化。
Meet Our Chef






Jun,a Japanese chef and a DJ.(It's funny that I first know him as a DJ then found out that he understands a lot about food, he has his own phliosophy about cooking )

Jun,日本厨师也是一名DJ(我刚认识他的时候他是DJ的身份出现的,之后才发现他在日本料理店做厨师长,对于食物他有很深刻的理解并且有自己的一套哲学)。

He comes from Kobe where his parents run a tofu shop .He learns a lot about food from his parents and also knows it's really not easy to make the best food .His cooking journey started from Chinatown in Kobe,in 2005 he won a cooking contest hosted by Japanese TV program.He moved to Shanghai in 2008 as head chef in Japanese restaurant.

Jun来自神户,父母经营着一家豆腐店,从小和食物打着交道的他理解好的食物是来之不易的。他的料理生涯开始于神户的唐人街,2005年的时候获得了日本电视台举办的料理大赛的冠军。2008年来到上海在日本餐厅做行政总厨。

平时非常幽默搞笑的Jun,对待料理确是非常的一丝不苟却又充满创意,让人产生敬意。
