英语中有一类词组，它们由一些我们熟悉的、有实在意义的词加介词组成，它们有固定的意义，并且意义会随着介词的变化而变化，它们就是我们通常说的——固定搭配。这些固定搭配的使用十分频繁，记忆的时候有些可以根据有意义的单词以及介词的指向来记忆，有一些则需要我们强行记忆。无论哪种都需要我们一一积累。

那么，我们就从这里开始吧

今天的两个词组分别是： so that 和 be friendly with

先来看一篇范文：

I have many dreams. I hope I have acandy house. But these candies can’t make my teeth bad so that I can’t eat candies any more, then I live in a sweet world. I hope I have food, and then I can help people who are in hunger. I hope I havedrugs to help people who are in pain, and then there is no sickness in the world. I hope there are no bad people in the world. I hope animals and plants can be friendly with people in this world. And the people cut trees and kill animals. I hope that there isn’tdiscrimination. I hope we will have a nice and equal world.

I hope all my hopes above will be real.我有很多梦想。我希望有一个糖果屋。但是这些糖果不会让我长蛀牙以致再也不能吃糖果，这样我就住在一个甜蜜的世界了。我希望我有食物，这样我就可以帮助饥饿的人们。我希望我有药物，来帮助痛苦的人们，这样世界上就没有病痛了。我希望世界上没有坏人。我希望世界上的动物和植物能和人类友好相处。人类不能砍伐树木，也不能猎杀动物。我希望没有歧视。我希望能拥有一个美好平等的世界。

我希望这些愿望都能成真。

下面我们来仔细了解一下今天的词组：

1. “so that”表示“以便于、以致”，强调目的，放在一起使用的时候用法和and ut这类连词一样，如：

These candies can’t make my teeth bad so that I can’t eat candies any more.（这些糖果不会让我长蛀牙以致再也不能吃糖果）

I work hard so that I can enter a good high school.（我辛苦工作所以我能进入一个好高中。）

He ate lots of food so that he would not be hungry at school. (他吃了很多东西以便上学不饿。)

“so that”也可以分开来作“so…that+句子”使用，强调程度，意思是“如此……以至于”，如：

I worked so hard that I got the first place.（我工作这么辛苦才得了第一名。）

He got so excited that he couldn’t say anything. （他如此激动以至于说不出话来。）

2. be friendly with 表示“与……友好相处”，要注意的是这个词组里的介词是“with”千万不能弄错，我们来看看例句：

I hope animals and plants can be friendly with people in this world. （我希望世界上的动物和植物能和人类友好相处。）

I am friendly with my desk mate. (我和我的同桌友好相处。)

小雨君提醒大家，“with”不能搞错，因为还有一个词组，它是“be friendly to（对某人友好）”，例如：He is friendly to you.他对你很友好。（仅仅指礼节上不失礼或两个人之间有令人得体舒适的友情关系，但深层次的关心爱护等深层次情感表达并不明显）to强调相对某人，是具有主动性的，而with则是和某人，强调并列。孩子们，英文中这类的固定搭配有很多，除了不断的积累，我们并没有什么“投机取巧的方法。可是，那么多我们怎么能记得住呢？不要着急，滴水尚可以穿石，我们只要每天都坚持背诵，即使每天只背诵一两句，一个月也可以积累近百条呢！当我们坚持了一段时间后就会发现，不知不觉间我们竟然已经掌握了那么多了！

最后，让我们一起做点题，巩固一下今天学到的知识吧：

这样的题目真是条理清晰呢，每一个“I hope”都对应了文中的一句话，我们来回顾一下原文，标出所有“I hope”：
