学习Roots词根是认识新单词一个很好的方式，但要记住词根的意思，并不是直接硬背，而是找一个包含有该词根的单词作为入门单词来记忆词根的意思。 今天我们继续学习3个常见的词根：sec, sent, spect。

切，分割
Intersection
/ˌɪn.t̬ɚˈsek.ʃən/
(n.) 交叉路口，十字路口；（两条线的）交点
单词拆解：
inter-：是前缀，表示“between 在。。。之间 ”
sect：是词根，表示“cut 切”
-ion：是名词后缀
联想：
十字路口就是把两条路“切开”。
e.g.There is an accident at the intersection of Yonge street and Finch avenue.
在Yonge 街和Finch街的十字路口有车祸。
Dissect
/dɪˈsekt/
(v.) 解剖
单词拆解：
dis-：前缀dis 有两种意思， 一种是大家很熟悉的表示“not ”的否定前缀， 另外一个是表示“apart分开的”，这个词的dis 前缀是作“apart分开的”意思来理解。
sect：是词根，表示“cut 切”
联想：
解剖就是把东西切开。
e.g.We used to dissect frogs in science class.
在科学课上我们常解剖青蛙。
Bisect
/baɪˈsekt/
(v.) 把。。。分成两部分；把。。。分成二等分
单词拆解：
bi-：是前缀，表示“two, double 二”
sect：是词根，表示“cut 切”
联想：
这个词非常好记忆，把东西一切为二。
e.g.You need to draw a line that bisects the angle.
你要画一条平分角度的线。

感觉
Sense
/sens/
(n.) 感觉，官能；(v.) 感觉到
单词拆解：
sens：是词根，表示“to feel 感觉”
联想：
这个词是最适宜作为入门词用来记忆词根的意思。
e.g.She has a really good sense of humour.
她真的很有幽默感。
e.g.He sensed something was going to happen.
他感觉到有事情要发生。
Dissent
/dɪˈsent/
(n.) (v.) 不同意，异议
单词拆解：
dis-：是前缀，与上面dissect一样，在这个词的dis 前缀也是作“apart分开的”的意思。
sent：是词根，表示“to feel 感觉”
联想：
感觉是分开不一样的，所以是感觉不合，有异议。
e.g.He did everything in his power to suppress political dissent.
他竭尽全力镇压政治异议。
e.g.Two of the justices dissented from the majority opinion.
两位法官反对多数意见。
Consensus
/kənˈsen.səs/
(n.) 共识，一致的意见
单词拆解：
con- ：是前缀， 表示“together 共同一起，fully 全部”
sens：是词根，表示“to feel 感觉”
联想：
有共同的感觉，就是有共识。
e.g.We reached a consensus on this matter.
我们在这件事上达成了共识。

Spectator
/spekˈteɪ.t̬ɚ/
(n.) 观众 （多指体育赛事的观众）
单词拆解：
spect：是词根，表示“look 看”
-or：是名词后缀， 表示“person 人”
联想：
看的人就是观众。

观众站在道路两旁为参赛者加油。
Prospect
/ˈprɑː.spekt/
(n.) 前景，机会，前途

pro-：是前缀，表示“forward 向前 ”
spect：是词根，表示“look 看”
联想：
机会，前景都是要向前展望的。
e.g.He is hoping the course will improve his career prospect.
他希望这门课能改善他的职业前景。
Inspection

(n.) 检查，视察

in-：是前缀，表示“in, into 进入 里面”
spect：是词根，表示“look 看”
-ion：是名词后缀， 表示“act、process 动作、过程”
联想：
检查的概念就是要仔细的look inside 往里看。
e.g.A routine inspection revealed several faults with the machine.
例行检查发现了机器有几处的故障。
