Digital Realty Trust has closed a dealwithan unnamed cloud provider which has fully occupied the first phase of itsdatacenter in Osaka. The center occupies 8,271 sq metre (80,000 sq ft) atafacility 20km from the Japanese city.


Digital Realty Trust已与某大型云供应商达成交易，将售出整个大阪数据中心一期的外包托管服务。该一期数据中心占地面积达8271平方米（即约80000平方英尺），距离大阪中央商业区不到20千米。



The company’s CEO William Stein revealedthedeal in the company’s Q1 2016 financial report. He said, “Leasingactivityincluded a multi-megawatt lease with a hyper-scale cloud serviceprovider inOsaka, fully leasing phase one of our first project in Japan. Wealso announcedthat we entered Germany with the acquisition of a six-acre landparcel.”

The first-phase deal for half of itsOsakaprovision has come at a time of growth for Digital Realty which closed adealto buy Telx for $1.9billion last October and this has massively boosteditspresence in the US and given Telx a global reach it lacked before.

Plans for the Osaka center were announcedinlate 2013 when it bought the 15,000 sq metre (160,000 sq ft) for $10.5millionfor the 15,000 sq m site. The company started work in April 2015 andoffersmulti-rack, cage and private suites configurations ranging from 2kW toover2,400kW.
