柠檬七大妙用：从提亮肤色到疏通管道

From brightening skin to unblocking drains, clip

reveals seven clever life hacks using the everyday

fruit



They're tasty and they're healthy, but lemons are simply so much more than

for making lemonade.

In a new Daily Mail Online original video, we look at seven different uses

for the tart citrus fruit - and none of them have to do with eating them.

The clip starts with hack number one: refreshing and sanitizing a cleaning

board.

With garlic and onions being one of the most well-used ingredients in

cooking here in the United States, the struggle of washing the pungent smell and

flavor out of a cutting board is something many Americans can relate to.

But not only that, given that you frequently slice up the likes of raw and

unclog a drain.

First, several lemons are squeezed for their juices into a cup, then the

drain is rinsed with boiling water before being filled with half a box of baking

soda.

Lemon juice is poured over the baking soda, causing it to bubble and fizz.

After 15 minutes, the sink is draining smoothly.

Another part of your kitchen you can clean with lemons is your microwave.

Throwing some lemons and their juices into a cup of water and microwaving for

five minutes not only loosens up stains in the microwave so they are easily

wiped away, but leaves a fresh smell behind.

If you are lucky enough to have a dishwasher in your house, you can also

kick up your cleaning by putting a sliced lemon into your dishwasher to freshen

things up.

Taking the hacks outside of the kitchen, the final concoction created for

the video is a homemade face scrub.

The recipe contains three tablespoons of olive oil, the juice of a lemon,

two tablespoons of honey and half a cup of sugar. Combine, apply and leave on

for 15 minutes.

After the time is up, rinse to brighten your skin, help prevent acne and

even moisturize.
