Overall,tomealltheindividualBeatlememberswereabsolutelytalentedmusiciansintheirownright....

Paul, from my humble observation, was the 'musician's musician' within The Fab Four. Macca was an all-rounder - a good guitarist, a great and innovative bass player (not the most technical but certainly one of the most melodic), adecent drummer and piano player, and a fantastic vocalist in his prime with a distinctive tone and a wide vocal range todie for. Based on this fact alone, he is possibly the most accomplished compared to Lennon, George and Ringo. Putting popular tunes such as Yesterday, Let It Be and Michelle aside, songs such as When I'm Sixty-Four, Honey Pie, and Oh! Darling were examples that demonstrated Paul's wide range of influences from music hall, jazz and soul music respectively. Such influences really added towards the band's overall distinctive sound compared to their rock 'n' rollcontemporaries such as The Rolling Stones, for instance.

Yesterday, Let It Be and Michelle,光是When I'm Sixty-Four, Honey Pie, and Oh!

John was a good rhythm guitar player that couldcompetently nail leads too, and to me he had a pretty wildtouch on the instrument - raw, primal, but controlled at the same time, as demonstrated intunes such as Yer Blues and I Saw Her Standing There (which are how rock 'n' roll you can get!). As a singer, technique wise Lennon was no better than Paul, but he certainly was a very good and distinctive one. While his lead vocals were great as demonstrated in songs such as Come Together, In My Life, A Day In The Life (my all-time favourite vocals from John), Girl and Strawberry Fields Forever, it was particularly his ability to compliment and harmonize with Paul that made him a great singer in my eyes - their voices were meant for each other.

I Saw Her Standing There(这些歌曲让你感受到要多摇滚有多摇滚)展现的那样。 Come Together, In My Life, A Day In The Life (我一直非常喜欢John主唱的这首), Girl and Strawberry Fields Forever中所展现的,然而正是由于他可以赞赏Paul并和Paul和谐相处,他才成为我眼中一位伟大的歌手--他们的声音为对方而生。

George was a great guitar player in his own right - he was no Clapton, Beck or Hendrix, but the man could surely play and had a very efficient but melodic approach to his lines. As a vocalist, Harrison was highly musical and was absolutely no slouch in that department either - the man's harmonies were slightly trickier yet work very well for all the tunes The Beatles did, and he was also fantastic every time he was singing lead, as shown in tracks such as Taxman, Something, Here Comes The Sun, Piggies, and While My Guitar Gently Weeps.

Taxman, Something, Here Comes The Sun, Piggies, and While My Guitar Gently Weeps表现的那样。

Ringo tends to be overlooked but was highly underrated in the drumming department. He was no Ginger Baker, Keith Moon or Mitch Mitchell, but he never went out of time and rarely made mistakes in his parts, even for the trickier songs such as A Day In The Life, Tomorrow Never Knows and Ticket To Ride. The man never overplayed throughout his career yet knew how to lay down the groove within a song, a trait highly complimented by well-known drummers within the music industry such as Dave Grohl and Phil Collins. While his vocal range was very limited, he certainly could sing pretty decently in instances where he had to, as demonstrated in songs such as Yellow Submarine and With A Little Help From My Friends.

A Day In The Life, Tomorrow Never Knows and Ticket To Ride。 Yellow Submarine and With A Little Help From My Friends中所展现的。

Overall, to me all the individual Beatle members were absolutely talented musiciansin their own right, but like what Michael Dixon said, they were really a case of a whole being greater than the sum of its parts, and together they created some of the greatest pop and rock music of all-time and highly raised the bar for song writing within their respective genres.
