一.【单词首字母需要大写】

地名（国家、地区、城市）：

Germany, the United States, Tokyo, Paris, Texas

某一地区的语言、人：Chinese, Thai

组织和机构名称：Harvard University, the National Museum

月份、星期：October, Sunday但注意以下不需要大写：

四季：spring, summer, autumn, winter

不是特定的组织和机构时，无需大写，如：He first joined the company in 2003.

二.【大数字该如何书写？】

对于无法用一两个词写出来的数字，通常用阿拉伯数字来代替。

比如1,219,867, 直接写出这个数字即可。

200,000 可以写成 two hundred thousand

10,000,000 可以写成 ten million

三.【哪些单词容易拼写错误？】

有些单词拼写错误是因为长得太像，比如：too-to；there-their；thought-through.有一些长单词容易犯拼写错误，比如：convenient, accommodation, environment, government, percentage, proportion, achieve, receive等单词，都是较容易出错的单词。在英语中，有些名词是“不可数的”，也就是说这些名词没有复数形式。

同学们容易犯错的是以下单词：不能和修饰可数名词复数的词组如a great number of、a few、many等词组进行连用。

如果非要和数字连用，前面可以使用a piece of.

如a piece of advice、three pieces of furniture.同学们可以根据一些单词的结尾来记忆单词的词性，一般情况下以字母 y, al 结尾的词多为形容词（但有例外，如honesty 就是名词）；以字母组合 ence, ance, ness, ment 结尾的词多为名词。一些动词后面到底是接to do还是ing, 大多没有什么规律可循，只能是死记硬背。现列出两个大家非常容易错的两个动词：

suggest（建议）, spend （花费）

在没有直接宾语的情况下，suggest 后面可以接v-ing,如果有直接宾语，可以用不带to的不定式或that从句：

John suggested going to a movie.

John suggested that we go to a movie.

Spend 表示花费时间或金钱，后面接动词都是ing形式：

1.We spent a lot of money buying CDs last month.

2.She spent a lot of time looking for information on the internet.由岛屿或州组成的国家或地区名词前，前面要加 the,如the United States, the Middle East, the UK, 但是在America, China, England 前就不需要加the了。

还有一些特定的词前要加 the，如 the same as, in the world, on the internet.
