我们很多时候会把生命耗费在与他人的解释和互动上，其实很多事情是不需要解释的，如果解释有用，很多事情都不用做了。

和大家分享一下我自己的经历吧：

很多同学会说：老师我们都很喜欢听你讲课！我们也很羡慕你能在台上侃侃而谈，总能把课程讲的引人入胜。但也会有学生对能说会道的人天生反感，觉得会说就是“吹”就是“浮夸”。往往能言善辩就会让人觉得不踏实，笨嘴拙舌会被人当做是踏实；甚至还会有人认为沉闷的课堂就是在讲“干货”，认为风趣幽默就是浪费时间；这个时候我“会说”的优势就成了我的负资产。虽然我不能让每个人都满意，但是总归是想做的更好的。所以好多年前我会向那些对我提意见的人解释。解释说我其实讲的就是“干货”，但后来发现作用不大，刻板印象形成以后很难改变，而且这样的解释会被人认为是在狡辩；所以哪怕就是像我们这样以讲话为生的人，很多时候都得明白:很多事情不是靠说,靠解释就能改变的。后来我开始写每日一句了，很多人来留言说，老师我觉得你变踏实了。我特别想去解释：我一直都是很踏实的人，只是你没有发现而已。但后来只是苦笑了一下，就开始准备新的句子了。

（B 是最能证明A的）

（同位语从句）

B= a survey /of the states （that did not develop industrial economies by the middle of the nineteen century）定语从句

独立成句+调整语序：可以先翻译同位语从句：

1.that industrialization was a regional /rather than（而不是） a national process

工业化的进程是地区性的而非全国性的；

然后翻译：

2. a survey /of the states that did not develop industrial economies by the middle of the nineteen century

这里翻译的时候可以把survey的词性转化为动词；

最后再翻译主句

参考译文：工业化的进程是地区性的而非全国性的，考察一下那些在19世纪中叶还没有发展工业经济的国家，就能最清楚地看出这一点。
