读报解析的时候，时常会分享一些从外刊里面提取出来的过渡性表达

以下为过去和即将过去的2018年2月&3月的总结：

#引入例子方式

1. consider

Consider the man of the early 1980s, strolling down the street with his Walkman and earphones.

2. suppose

Suppose that your daughter was likely to be somewhat worse off going to an excellent but less prestigious state school.

3. take

Take, for example, the striking finding from a new paper from researchers at Georgetown University and the University of Chicago.

4. 引出研究的方式： a fleet of studies are converging on the consensus that ...

5. 引出研究的方式： ...a substantial volume of research shows that...

#引入观点方式

1. 引入自己观点的方式：…most of us cling to the idea that…

2. 引出同类型例子的方式：

观点 +  He’s in good company. + 其他观点

3. 某人怎么说的表达方式： “Welfare makes people lazy.”The notion is buried so deep within mainstream political thought that it can often be stated without evidence.

#引入反方观点

1. There is no doubt ... 说明后面跟的是作者不同意的观点

2. At first glance, ... 引出反方观点

3. From our clichés, + 反方态度

#过渡性语句表达

1. In this vein: 在这方面，从（前面提到的）点来看

In this vein, our findings foreshadow a looming friction in the adoption of autonomous devices such as self-driving cars. ...

2.In this regard, it is not self-evident that...

3.That is to say 的使用

如何提高英文表达能力？

我们都知道模仿是提高语言能力很好的方式，但是怎么去刻意的模仿呢？

这里给大家推荐一个简单的模仿过程。

Step 1: 把原先的英文翻译为中文

比如下句：

Yet, despite the many advantageous features of digital goods, physical goods appear to retain greater allure.

但是，虽然数字产品有很多的优势，实体的产品貌似还是更有吸引力

Step 2: 不看英文原句，把自己上面的中文译为英文。

可能的版本：

Yet, despite the digital goods have some advantages, the physical ones seem to have more attractions.

Step 3: 比对自己的版本和英文原文之间的区别：

Yet, despite the many advantageous features of digital goods, physical goods appear to retain greater allure.

Yet, despite the digital goods have some advantages, the physical ones seem to have more attractions.

可以发现，憋开of 结构不去多想，至少我们可以学到，有吸引力的表达除了 have attractions， 还可以是 retain allure. 而且是不是感觉allure 比attraction 更有画面感。

同样值得学习的表达还有下文confer 和extend 的使用
