Be respected forwho and what I am. I may be tall or short, young or old, skinny or heavy, athleticor non-athletic, quiet or boisterous, musically talented or not, but whatever Ilook like or like to do, I have the right to be myself and have others acceptme for who I am, provided I live up to the responsibilities outlined below.

尊重属于自己的我，我可能高或者矮，年纪小或者年纪长，体重小或者体重大，是运动型的或者不是，安静或者热闹，具有音乐才华或者没有，但是不管我长的怎么样，以及喜欢做什么，我有权利做我自己以及被别人接受，只要我无愧于以下责任。

“fail forward.”Sometimes we say that we all have the right to make mistakes, but it really isnot a mistake if we really learn from it. I will sometimes fail, maybe insports or in my relationships with others at camp, but no matter how I fail inthe small things, I have the right to move forward and learn from those failures.This does not mean I can do anything I want to, I still have certain responsesthat I must live up to, but if I am really trying I may fail sometimes, and Ihave the right to do so without being shunned or teased.

Play. Camp UWP hasa policy that says, “You can’t say I can’t play.” Even if I am not the best,the fastest, or the smartest, I have a right to play with you.

玩儿。夏令营有一个政策就是，“你不能说我不能玩儿”。即便我不是最好的，最快的，或者最聪明的，我有和你一起玩儿的权利。

Be happy, sad,mad, lonely, excited, tired, frustrated, enthusiastic, or even a little grumpy.It is my response how I deal with those feelings, and how they affect others,but I have the right to feel them.

快乐、悲伤、疯狂、寂寞、兴奋、疲惫、沮丧、热情，甚至有点暴躁。如何对待这些感受是我的反应，以及这些感受如何影响别人，但我有权利感受它们。

Be safe. I need toknow that I am safe, physically, emotionally, and socially. Of course I understandthat accidents might happen, but I have the right to feel that I will not behurt on purpose.

安全。我需要知道我是安全的，身体的、情感上的，和社会的。我当然明白可能发生意外，但是我有觉得我不会被故意伤害的权利。

Feel valued. Thereare a lot of places I could be other than camp, and I need to know that mypresence here is important and that I am a valuable part of Camp UWP. Maybe Ican do something no one else can do on the athletic field, stage, etc., maybe Iam a good friend, whose talents are in caring about others and trying to do theright thing. Either way, I am valuable. Most of us are not super-talentedperformers, artists, or athletes, but we are important and valuable anyway. Iam valuable, and no one should feel like they have the right to make me feelless valuable than I am.

感觉有价值（被重视）。我可以在此夏令营之外的很多地方，而我需要知道我在这里出现是重要的，我是夏令营里有价值的一个组成部分。我可能在体育上、舞台上等等能够做到其他营员所做不到的，也许我是个好朋友，我的才华就是会关心别人并且试图做些好事情。无论哪种方式，我都是有价值的。我们中大多数不是超级天才演员、艺术家，或者运动员，但是不管怎么说，我们重要且有价值。我是有价值的，没有任何其他人比我更有权让我感觉到我不值什么。

Respect others. I understandthat we all have differences, and differences do not mean better or worse, justdifferent. I am better in some ways and worse in some ways, and it is my response to understand that and treat others like I would like to be treated.

尊重别人。我明白我们每个人都不一样，而差异并不意味着更好或者更坏，仅是差异而已。我在有些方面更好，在有些方面更差些，而这是我的义务,即懂得应该像我想被对待的那样去对待别人。

Try. I may notalways succeed. But I need to try. I will sometimes fail, but as long as that failurehappens after an honest try, I will learn from it and let it make me better. Iwill try new activities, new ways of treating others, and new ways of treating myself,and if I fail, I hope others will accept my attempt, but I will at least knowthat I gave it my best shot.

尝试。我可能不总是成功。但是我需要尝试。我有时候失败，但是只要是一个诚实的尝试之后的失败，我就从中学到收获，并且因此使我自己长进。我将尝试新的活动（行为），对待别人的新的方式，对待自己的新的方式，如果我失败，我希望，其他人接受我的尝试，而至少我知道了我已竭尽全力。

Let others havethe same chances I have. Whenever possible I will let others play, join a conversation,or join the group. I will try to share things whenever possible, but expectothers not to take advantage of my sharing. If there is a good reason not tolet someone join in, I will say so in a respectful and caring way. Of course Iwill not like everyone equally--- camp is a lot about making some closefriends, but when someone who I do not know as well or like as much needs something,I will treat them with the same respect I would hope to get.

让别人与我获得同样的机会。只要可能，我就会让别人也玩儿，加入对话，或者加入群组。只要有可能，我将尽量分享，但希望别人不要利用我的分享（占便宜）。如果的确有个正确的原因不让别人参加，我将用尊重和关怀的方式说出来。当然，我不会同等程度地喜欢每一个人，夏令营提供了交往亲密朋友的机会，但是，如果我不了解某个人或者不喜欢某个人，我将用我希望得到的被尊重的态度去对待他／她。

Feel whatever emotionsI need to feel, but not to let that affect others in an inappropriate way. Forinstance, if I am angry, I do not have the right to say or do anything I want,and if I am excited I do not have the right to keep others awake or disturbtheir quiet time. When I am frustrated I will try to find ways to express orlose that frustration without hurting others. I will do my best to remember my responsibilitiesto others, even when I am really focused on myself.

感受我所需要去感受的任何感情，但不要让它用不恰当的方式影响他人。比如，如果我生气了，我并不就具备权利说或者做我想说或做的任何事情；而如果我很兴奋，我也没有权利要求别人一直醒着或者在安静的时间打扰别人。当我感到沮丧，我将尝试寻找不伤害其他人的方法来表示或者走出挫折。我将尽可能记住我对别人的责任，即便当我真的非常专注于我自己。

Help take care ofothers. When people are trying new things, I have the responsibility to encourage,not to tease. When people make mistakes and fail, I have the responsibility totreat them with compassion, not to remind them of their failures every chance Iget. I want others to be glad I am around, and not feel like I am inconsiderateof their feelings, property, or body. I will work to control my actions and reactionsso that others feel safe.

帮助照顾别人。当人们尝试新事务，我有责任鼓励，而不是取笑。当人们犯了错误或者失败，我有责任用同情心去对待他们，而不是在每个可能的机会都提示他们有过的失败。我希望我周围的人高兴，而不是让别人觉得我不体谅他们的感情、财产、或者身体。我将努力控制我的反应，而让他人感到安全。

Value others. Asthe fastest runner, best artist, most organized, most patient, best singer, orwhatever my talents happen to be, I have the responsibility to respect thetalents and value of others. I will try to make others feel as if they areimportant, in part because that makes them feel good about themselves, butmostly because they are important. Each of us has talents that when puttogether help us learn from each other and do more and better things than if weto do them by themselves. I will look for the value in others, while neverforgetting my responsibility to also value myself.作为跑步最快的人，最好的艺术家，最有组织能力的人，最耐心的人，最好的歌手，或者不管是我碰巧具有的什么才华，我都有责任尊重别人的才华和价值。我将尽量让别人感到他们自己是重要的，一部分是因为这样使得他们感觉良好，而更多的原因是他们本来就是重要的。我们中的每个人都有天赋，当天赋聚集起来，我们可以互相学习，我们可以比自己单独做而做出更多更好的东西。我将寻找他人的价值，同时也从来不忘记我看重我自己价值的责任。
