世界上很多经典小说都被改编成了电影，唯美的画面、动听的音乐普及了名著的情节，让小伙伴们又有了啃名著的动力。

Romeo and Juliet is a 1968 British-Italian romance film based on the tragic play of the same name by William Shakespeare. A Room with a View is a romance drama, directed by James Ivory, of E. M. Forster's 1908 novel of the same name. The film follows closely the novel by use of the chapter titles to section the film into thematic segments.

The Painted Veil is a 2006 American drama film directed by John Curran. The screenplay by Ron Nyswaner is based on the 1925 novel of the same title by W. Somerset Maugham. This is the third film adaptation of the Maugham book.

Definitely a well thought out plot with great actors and incredible cinematography. Visually stunning at times, The Painted Veil is a heartwarming love story. The refreshing part of this love story is it shows the effort to find love, accept love and to forgive.

Thompson's script manages the neat trick of preserving the necessary niceties and decorum of civilized behavior of the time while still cutting to the dramatic quick. A faithful adaptation, especially in tone, of Austen's enjoyable novel. Even though not a remarkable story, it benefits mostly from great performances by Thompson and Winslet, in a visually enchanting period drama that combines well romance and humor.

To Kill a Mockingbird is a 1962 American drama film directed by Robert Mulligan. The screenplay is based on Harper Lee's 1960 Pulitzer Prize-winning novel of the same name. The film, considered to be one of the best ever made, received overwhelmingly positive reviews from critics.

One of the things that makes To Kill a Mockingbird a truly great film is the love and respect everyone involved in bringing Harper Lee's novel to the screen had for the original source material. It shows up on screen in every single frame. Each performance in this film is beyond reproach. Gregory Peck had many fine performances over his storied career, but none ever approached the perfection he brought to his portrayal of Atticus Finch.
