红茶


红茶,称全发酵茶。鲜叶经过萎凋、揉捻、发酵、干燥,形成红茶红汤红叶的品质特征。

Black Tea

Black tea is called fermented tea. Its fresh leaves are subject to withering, twisting, fermenting and drying processes, to form a quality of “red liquid and red leaves” unique to the black tea.
祁门红茶
中国十大名茶之一,1875年创制,主产于安徽省祁门县及其毗邻地区。

祁红久负盛名,品质极佳,在国际上与印度大吉岭、斯里兰卡乌瓦并列为世界三大高香名茶,香气浓郁持久,称为“祁门香”。

1987年在第26届世界优质食品评选会上荣获金奖。

Keemun Black Tea

It is one of the ten most famous Chinese teas, originating since the year of 1875. The tea is mainly produced in Qimen Country and other adjacent areas of Anhui Province.

Keemun black tea enjoys a long standing reputation. It is the best in quality, and ranks the world-top three high-fragrance teas together with Darjeeling Tea of India and Uva tea of Sri Lanka. It has a strong, high and persisting fragrance, so it is given a name Keemun Fragrance.

In 1987, it won a gold award on the 26th Monde Selection of France.
滇红
中国名茶,红茶类,产于云南省,1939年创制。20世纪50年代,滇红主销苏联,当时苏联茶师对滇红的评价是:在中国各类红茶中和祁门茶同水平,国际上,与印度阿萨姆茶相媲美。

Yunnan Black Tea

One of the Chinese famous teas, and a kind of black tea, produced in Southwest China’s Yunnan Province, and originating since the year of 1939.

In 1950’s, the Yunnan Black Tea Congou is mainly sold to USSR, and a USSR tea master made such a comment on Yunnan Black Tea: Among Chinese teas, it is ranked at the same level as Keemum Tea, and among the world teas, it is equivalent to the Assam Tea in India.


乌瓦红茶
位于斯里兰卡内陆的乌瓦地区,受东北季风与西南季风的吹拂,为乌瓦茶带来鲜明的韵致:乌瓦人称其为冬青味,也有人称其为苦艾酒味道。当地人喜欢清饮,认为乌瓦茶有涩感的人则加奶调饮。

Uva Black Tea

The remote Uva district is exposed to thewinds of both northeast and southwest monsoons, believed to endow the teaproduced here with a special, unmistakable character and exotically aromaticflavour. Some Uvas have what could be described as an almost ‘Wintergreen’flavour ,and others named it Absinthe aroma.

Uvas like to drink this tea black, to appreciate the flavour fully, but some peoplemay find this a little strong and wish to add a splash of milk.
大吉岭茶
大吉岭茶产于印度西孟加拉邦,大吉岭茶青可制成红茶、绿茶、白茶或乌龙茶。发酵过的大吉岭茶(红茶),汤色明澈,具有特殊的麝香味,此独特的香味近似于麝香葡萄。

与大多数印度茶不同,大吉岭茶树由中国野生茶树种培育,是小叶种茶,非阿萨姆类的大叶种。传统上,大吉岭用来制作红茶,现在大吉岭绿茶、乌龙茶越来越常见,甚至大吉岭白茶也已面市。2003年商品原产地地理保护标志体系实施后,大吉岭获得印度专利局颁发的首批地理保护标志认证。

Darjeeling Tea

Darjeeling tea is a tea from the Darjeeling district in West Bengal, India. It is available inblack, green, white and oolong. When properly brewed, it yields a thin-bodied,light-coloured infusion with a floral aroma. The flavour can include a tinge of astringent tannic characteristicsand a musky spicinesssometimes described as "muscatel".

Unlike most Indian teas, Darjeeling tea isnormally made from the small-leaved Chinese variety of Camelliasinensis var. sinensis, rather than the large-leaved Assam plant.Traditionally, Darjeeling tea is made as black tea; however, Darjeeling oolong and green teas arebecoming more commonly produced and easier to find, and a growing number ofestates are also producing white teas.After the enactment of Geographical Indications of Goods (Registration &Protection Act, 1999) in 2003, Darjeeling tea became the first Indian productto receive a GI tag,in 2004-05 through the Indian Patent Office.
非洲红茶
作为后产茶的大洲,非洲借鉴他人经验,后来居上,成为世界最为重要的产茶区。非洲茶以品质高、茶汤明艳而世界闻名,成为拼配茶的主力。非洲主要的产茶国有肯尼亚、布隆迪、卢旺达、马拉维、坦桑尼亚、津巴布韦和莫桑比克,占世界茶出口量的32%。

肯尼亚是非洲最大的产茶国。英国人品饮的大部分茶是肯尼亚红茶。通常而言,东非大裂谷东部的茶品质优于西部,一些在裂谷西部的茶厂用东部产区的茶做拼配,来提升茶叶品质。

African Black Tea

As one of the most recent tea producing continents, African countries have been able to build on the experience of other producers. As a result, Africa is now a major force in world tea, producing teas of high quality and good bright colour which are used for blending all over the world. Tea producing countries in Africa include Kenya, Burundi, Rwanda, Malawi, Tanzania, Zimbabwe and Mozambique producing about 32% of world exports.

Kenya is the leading African tea producing country. Much of the tea that is drunk in the UK originates from Kenya. Generally speaking, that which is grown to the East of the Rift is of a higher quality than that grown to the West of it, although some factories that are to the West of The Rift use East Rift leaf to raise the quality of their teas.
